ABOUT THE TEAM Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) is responsible for autonomous robotics systems like the Fury unmanned fighter jet and the Barracuda family of advanced effects. The AD&S Vehicle Software team is responsible for the software running on these systems. Our software engineers collaborate with other engineering disciplines to develop software for vehicle control, networking, sensor integration, and telemetry. We are looking for engineers excited to build the foundational vehicle software stack that supports the wide range of AD&S initiatives, from early concept simulation to first flight to live operations to large scale fleet management. ABOUT THE TEAM

Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) is responsible for autonomous robotics systems like the Fury unmanned fighter jet and the Barracuda family of advanced effects. The AD&S Vehicle Software team is responsible for the software running on these systems. Our software engineers collaborate with other engineering disciplines to develop software for vehicle control, networking, sensor integration, and telemetry. We are looking for engineers excited to build the foundational vehicle software stack that supports the wide range of AD&S initiatives, from early concept simulation to first flight to live operations to large scale fleet management.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead the definition, design, and execution of product verification and validation activities throughout the product development life cycle
  • Implement and automate software verification tests by defining and delivering test cases written against software requirements
  • Analyze and simulate requirements per customer specifications or developed internal product requirements
  • Review use cases, requirements, and specifications for products to ensure that requirements and specifications can be verified and validated
  • The review also includes risk mitigations, usability, and regulatory requirements
  • Execute complex testing, perform in-depth statistical analysis, and interpret results independently
  • Ensure that testing and results are traced to requirements; activities are completed with objective evidence
  • Summarize results in reports with conclusions or recommendations
  • As a hands-on subject matter expert, lead ad hoc testing and potential failure mode analysis to characterize product designs and performance
  • Conduct V&V Design Reviews as specified in project plans, and in accordance with company procedure
  • Maintain knowledge of current regulatory requirements and standards as they pertain to the development and testing of products
  • Provide technical leadership to a growing team
  • Gain a working understanding of Anduril's business lines and collaborate with leaders to build cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users
  • Be an advocate for excellent engineering culture across the team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Software testing or related technical experience
  • Experience with requirements based verification and implementation of verification strategies with a strong emphasis on automated tests
  • Have extensive knowledge of software development, processes, and verification tools, such as C/C++, Python
  • Track record of architecting software test plans in the Aerospace and Defense space
  • In-depth knowledge of requirements management, risk based testing approaches, defect tracking, and configuration control
  • Strong Knowledge of Software Testing Principles And Methodologies
  • Experience in Software Development Life Cycle And Software Verification Techniques
  • Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance Tools And Techniques
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience standing up automated hardware-in-the-loop testing infrastructure
  • Functional knowledge of software development, verification, and validation requirements for DO-178 and MIL-HDBK-516C
  • Experience developing testable requirements and understanding of DO-178 and MIL-HDBK-516C verification objectives

US Salary Range

$138,000-$252,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
