Software Engineer

The Company: Varonis is a pioneer in data security and analytics, specializing in software for data protection, threat detection and response, and compliance. Varonis protects enterprise data by analyzing data activity, perimeter telemetry, and user behavior; prevents disaster by locking down sensitive data; and efficiently sustains a secure state with automation.The Role: We are searching for a passionate and experienced Software Engineer to join our team which develops a software suite that protects the file and email servers from cyber-attacks and insider threats. Our products analyze the behavior of the people and machines that access client data, as well as alert on misbehavior, and enforce a least-privilege model.

The Responsibilities:

• Program high-performance core applications which are responsible for collecting and moving large amounts of data
• Develop the infrastructure of a large-scale distributed system
• Own all aspects of the project including the design, features, and modules
• Operate as a part of a dynamic Scrum/Agile team
• Work cross-functionally with other internal teams and stakeholders
• Write testable, clear, and reusable code; reflect and seek feedback on design choices and trade-offs made

The Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with C#/ Java, as well as 3+ years with C/C++
• Experience with distributed systems
• Experience with multi-threaded development
• Backend development at the enterprise level
• Basic understanding of common network protocols TLS, HTTP, TCP\IP
• Ability to lead a feature from planning to development and unit-testing
• Excellent interpersonal skills such as: ability collaborate well with peers and partner teams, self-motivated, eager to learn from mistakes

Advantages:

• Experience working with message broker (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Experience with microservice architecture
• Experience building cloud-native applications
