We are seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and operate new software systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for delivering defined projects through all phases of software development, from requirements, design, implementation, deployment, and operation. You will also contribute to software engineering best practices across our team, ensuring the we deliver highly available and scalable systems. Design, implement, test, deploy, and operate systems that improve our service performance, durability, security, cost, and reliability. Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering peers to understand and translate manufacturing requirements into flexible . Participate in technical discussions to drive architectural decisions and promote continuous improvement in our engineering practices. Demonstrate a high standard for code quality, testability, and maintainability. Automate software build, test, and deployment pipelines. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. 2 years of non-internship professional software development experience, writing production code in at least one programming language. 2 years of experience implementing components of new and existing systems. Experience with cloud-based architecture, deploying applications in cloud environments, and containerized workloads (we use AWS). Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in computer science or equivalent preferable but not required. 2+ years of experience with full software development lifecycle, including code quality standards, code review, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, TypeScript/ECMAScript, Java, or similar. Experience building and operating scalable data platforms using both non-relational and relational data stores. Experience with evaluation frameworks for RAG systems, LLM orchestration patterns, or other AI/ML integration experience.
