About You and The Role Zipline's Application Software team builds the tools we use to run our business. We are responsible for the operating system of Zipline - we develop critical applications that enable the manufacturing, maintenance, and service of our drone delivery system. We're currently creating and improving systems to optimize operations across the business, including within finance, supply chain, inventory, manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering. We also build the software applications that enable the Zipline fulfillment experience, ranging from customer-facing applications for placing orders and tracking deliveries to internal applications for managing inventory and shipping orders. We are looking for intelligent, driven, and collaborative engineers who love challenges and aspire to contribute to a profoundly impactful mission. You will take full ownership of complex problems, collaborating with a team of passionate engineers and stakeholders with diverse perspectives to architect and implement solutions that propel Zipline towards its objectives. What You'll Do Collaborate with software engineers and business stakeholders to deliver impactful full stack software solutions Deep dive into your users' problems to simplify software workflows which enable the business to move efficiently Design and develop applications ranging from from customer-facing applications for placing orders and tracking deliveries to internal applications for managing inventory and shipping orders. Develop intuitive scalable solutions using technologies like React, PostgreSQL, Python, and other frameworks. Contribute to architectural decisions to build scalable and distributed systems that are used around the world What You'll Bring 8+ years of professional experience developing full stack software using Python, Go, or a similar object-oriented language. Frontend experience using React, Angular, or similar Javascript frameworks, including proficiency in GraphQL for efficient data fetching. Database experience with PostgreSQL, Sqlalchemy, or similar database technologies Knowledge of database fundamentals like designing schemas, indexing, migrations, normalization, and managing backups Experience with version control (Git), continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts Proven experience working with business stakeholders to understand problems and then deliver high impact by architecting and building software solutions Nice to Haves Production experience with Kubernetes and AWS Experience with build systems (Make) and package management tools (pip) Deep understanding of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment & monitoring What Else You Need to Know The starting cash range for this role is $170,000 - $210,000. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation; overtime pay; discretionary annual or performance bonuses; sales incentives; benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more. Annual Salary

$105,000.00 - $215,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
