Overview
Job Description
We’re Hiring: Commercial HVAC Service Technician
Location: Norristown, PA | Pay Range: $28–$40/hour | Full-Time
Company Overview:
Commercial Kitchen Ventilation services commercial HVAC and kitchen ventilation systems in demanding environments throughout the tri-state area. We work on rooftop HVAC equipment, exhaust fans, make-up air systems, and airflow-related problems in active commercial environments.
We run lean, move fast, and expect technicians to stay productive and accountable.
The technicians who succeed here solve problems, stay productive, and handle work without constant oversight. If you need constant direction or someone checking every step, this isn’t the right fit.
Position Summary:
We’re hiring a Commercial HVAC Service Technician capable of handling demanding field work with limited oversight.
You’ll service commercial kitchen ventilation systems, rooftop HVAC equipment, exhaust fans, make-up air systems, ductwork, and related controls across the tri-state area.
The work is physical, fast-paced, and tied directly to keeping kitchens and facilities operating. You’ll be expected to diagnose problems, manage jobs, and keep systems operating without waiting for someone else to step in.
What You’ll Get:
$28–$40/hour based on experience, troubleshooting ability, and capability
Advancement tied to performance and field capability
Health Insurance + Retirement Plan
Paid Holidays + PTO
Independence and real responsibility in the field
What You’ll Do:
Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and kitchen ventilation systems
Diagnose airflow, electrical, and mechanical problems in active commercial environments
Service rooftop equipment, exhaust fans, make-up air systems, ductwork, and related controls
Maintain organized trucks, clean documentation, and clean work habits
Manage jobs responsibly from diagnosis through completion
What You’ll Bring:
2–6 years of HVAC or related field experience
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
Capable of handling demanding field work without constant oversight
Comfortable working at heights, in bad weather, and during long days
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Work is performed in active commercial kitchens, rooftops, and mechanical spaces where downtime matters. Expect ladder work, rooftops, crawlspaces, weather exposure, lifting 50+ lbs, emergency service calls, and on-call work.
Schedules and job locations can shift based on service demand and emergency calls.
This is not a normal 9–5 role.
If you’re ready to handle demanding field work, solve problems independently, and take ownership in the field — apply.
If you’re looking for predictable days or low-pressure work, this isn’t the right fit.
Commercial Kitchen Ventilation is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We hire based on performance, accountability, and capability.
