About the Role

Degree Heating & Cooling is looking for a HVAC Commercial Service Technician to perform light commercial work for HVAC system maintenance and repairs. This will be for rooftops with less than 20 tons, splits, WSHP units, and small boilers. It is important that this person meets safety, quality and customer standards on all jobs. Must have a S or D license. This is a full-time role that will report into the General Manager and be based out of our growing Glastonbury, CT office.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and repair commercial HVAC systems and equipment
  • Work on rooftops with less than 20 tons, splits, WSHP units and small boilers
  • Establish customer rapport to offer solutions and provide the correct service 
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site and truck
  • Participate in training, meetings and company events
  • Local work for our contract customers

We’d Love To Hear From You If You Have

  • 5+ years of commercial work with S or D license
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices
  • Knowledge of ServiceTitan a plus
  • Strong organization and attention to detail skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Must consider safety one’s primary job and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements
  • To adequately perform the duties of this job the team member is regularly and routinely required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls, hear, and talk
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces
  • The ability to regularly lift and/or move 50+ lbs is required
  • The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons

Pay Range: Pay is dependent on experience; up to $45/hr plus spiffs and bonuses. Top technicians earn over $120,000 per year.
