About This Role:

We’re looking for a Licensed HVAC Lead Installer to join our team at Degree Heating & Cooling. As the leader of your install crew, you’ll work hands-on while guiding apprentices to deliver high-quality installations for residential and light commercial customers. You’ll ensure every job is done right, safe, and to our high standards—all while providing excellent customer service.

About You:

  • You have 5+ years of field experience and are looking for an opportunity to grow and be better supported

  • A strong communicator and a natural at explaining basic maintenance suggestions to customers
  • You enjoy training and mentoring apprentices

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and perform installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems (residential + light commercial)
  • Mentor and train apprentices on-site, providing real growth opportunities
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components
  • Maintain truck inventory, tools, and safety practices
  • Provide clear, friendly communication to customers, including basic maintenance recommendations

Must Haves: 

  • Licensed HVAC Installer in Connecticut (S-2, D-2, or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of HVAC field experience
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Ability to read/interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals
  • Tech-savvy (comfortable with tablets, mobile apps, and work-related software)
  • Customer-focused, safety-minded, and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to work Saturdays/on-call rotations when needed

Pay Range: Pay is dependent on experience; $35/hour and up + SPIFFs and bonuses. Top technicians earn over $120,000 per year.
