Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required. Inform Chief Engineer / Assistant Chief Engineer of equipment conditions. Check CMMS system for new trouble calls a minimum of once every hour.   • Perform troubleshooting techniques on equipment to determine problems and effect repairs promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime.

  • Perform any and all other assigned duties/tasks.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of Skilled Trades experience

  • 5+ years of experience working with HVAC and refrigeration systems

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification

  • Valid driver's license

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with various building equipment

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to read and interpret work from drawings, written work orders, sketches, blueprints, and technical manuals

Physical requirements:

  • Prolonged standing and walking

  • Repeated bending, squatting, stooping, and working in uncomfortable and tiring positions

  • Working on ladders or scaffolding

  • Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)

  • Ability to work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions
