Seeking an HVAC Foreman with commercial installation experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Sioux Falls, SD. This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!   Pay is between $30 - $38 per hour (based on experience) The HVAC Journeyman position allows you to leverage your skills in commercial HVAC installation projects. This includes installing sheet metal, spiral ducts, rooftop units, and other HVAC equipment. The Journeyman is responsible for delivering high-quality work and maintaining productivity levels. Responsibilities: Perform all work safely and in compliance with safety and conduct. Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors, problems, or defects. Operate powered equipment, including hand tools and stationary machines, safely at all times. Analyze information and evaluate results to make informed decisions and solve problems effectively. Respond to emergency situations to address immediate safety concerns. Provide daily direction to assigned teams on the job site and actively participate in the training and development of apprentices. Follow and execute directions and assigned duties from the Manager. Maintain a positive attitude to foster good morale among team members. Uphold high-quality standards while completing assigned tasks. Work independently to meet assigned goals and deadlines. Ensure all on-site documentation (checklists, safety sign-offs, service sheets, etc.) is completed accurately. Attend all meetings related to ongoing projects as required. Be willing to work extra days as needed for project completion. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. 3+ years of field experience as an HVAC Journeyman. 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC applications. Valid driver's license and ability to lawfully drive a motor vehicle to commute to various job sites in the region. Reliable transportation. Effective verbal communication skills with management, city officials, on-site customers, and other employees. Ability to perform well under pressure and meet multiple, sometimes competing deadlines. Proficiency in reading and interpreting written materials, architectural plans, drawings, and mechanical designs. Capability to perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring tools. Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics. Strong knowledge of HVAC, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. Successful completion of a UA Apprenticeship Program. Chiller experience is helpful. Job Description

Seeking an HVAC Foreman with commercial installation experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Sioux Falls, SD.

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!  

Pay is between $30 - $38 per hour (based on experience)

The HVAC Journeyman position allows you to leverage your skills in commercial HVAC installation projects. This includes installing sheet metal, spiral ducts, rooftop units, and other HVAC equipment. The Journeyman is responsible for delivering high-quality work and maintaining productivity levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all work safely and in compliance with safety and conduct.
  • Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors, problems, or defects.
  • Operate powered equipment, including hand tools and stationary machines, safely at all times.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to make informed decisions and solve problems effectively.
  • Respond to emergency situations to address immediate safety concerns.
  • Provide daily direction to assigned teams on the job site and actively participate in the training and development of apprentices.
  • Follow and execute directions and assigned duties from the Manager.
  • Maintain a positive attitude to foster good morale among team members.
  • Uphold high-quality standards while completing assigned tasks.
  • Work independently to meet assigned goals and deadlines.
  • Ensure all on-site documentation (checklists, safety sign-offs, service sheets, etc.) is completed accurately.
  • Attend all meetings related to ongoing projects as required.
  • Be willing to work extra days as needed for project completion.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3+ years of field experience as an HVAC Journeyman.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC applications.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to lawfully drive a motor vehicle to commute to various job sites in the region.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Effective verbal communication skills with management, city officials, on-site customers, and other employees.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet multiple, sometimes competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting written materials, architectural plans, drawings, and mechanical designs.
  • Capability to perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring tools.
  • Ability to identify basic trade materials by size, shape, and function.
  • Ability to maintain active state and city licenses in all areas of work.
