Job Summary Kairos Power is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Technician with general building and mechanical expertise supporting industrial, commercial and/or R&D facilities. This position will be located at the Kairos Power Southwest facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico and will report into the Facilities Department. You will support a variety of facilities maintenance tasks across the site including performing inspections, installations, repairs, replacements, and other general tasks on existing facility infrastructure. The individual will also conduct testing, operations, troubleshooting, and mechanical work in support of the engineering teams on site.  The ideal candidate will have experience performing maintenance on HVAC systems and experience working with R&D test equipment, manufacturing equipment, and other commercial building systems including fire protection, fire alarms, access control, security cameras, and security alarms.  Responsibilities Provide technical support for required mechanical tasks in collaboration with internal facilities, construction, engineering and project teams Complete preventative and corrective maintenance/troubleshooting on site HVAC, and other mechanical systems (plumbing, compressed air, etc.) Support the scope and coordination with facilities contractors to complete required projects/work on site Maintain a detailed understanding and knowledge of the building’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Support the construction and operations of HVAC and other building systems equipment in support of R&D testing at the facility Perform lockout/tagout to isolate components and de-energize equipment. Dead River Company is looking for skilled and licensed heating equipment Service Technicians. You will keep heating systems running safely, efficiently and at peak performance, as well as diagnose and resolve heating system problems, perform annual maintenance and advise customers on energy-saving options, such as the type of new heating system to install. Our technicians also install this new equipment. With each service appointment, you will uphold the company’s safety absolutes. With each customer interaction, you will be depended upon for your skills and trusted for your advice –contributing to a worry-free customer experience.

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with installation, maintenance, and repairs of residential and commercial oil and/or Propane heating equipment
  • Strong customer focus
  • The ability to work without close supervision
  • HAZMAT endorsement / Propane License a plus

Experience:
Will have at least one year of relevant oil and/or propane service experience.

Certification, Licensing, and Testing:
• Apprentice, Journeyman or Master designation licensing is necessary in states where required.

• All technicians must have a valid motor vehicle drivers’ license. Driving record is reviewed at employment, and annually thereafter, and must meet company standards.
