Ameresco has an opportunity for an Associate HVAC Mechanic to join our Operations & Maintenance Team based at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam in Honolulu, Hawaii. Responsibilities: Assist with the operations and maintenance of water source heat pumps, HVAC systems; and other related equipment/systems as directed. Assist other trades personnel and management personnel to maintain reliable utility service and efficient performance. Take equipment readings critical for operations, efficient performance, maintenance history, billing, etc. Compile logs, prepare reports, and enter data/information into computers as necessary. Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on various equipment as directed. Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and safety standards, practices, codes. Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or an equivalent is required. Up to two (2) years of related professional experience. Additional Qualifications: Formal training from a trade or vocational school is preferred. Experienced with installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, or repair of HVAC components or systems preferred. Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with the ability to transport equipment and tools in excess of 300 lbs. Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills. May require travel and flexibility for 'on call' support or varied schedule needs. Type 2 or higher EPA certification is required. Ability to review confidential US security information.
