Overview
Job Description
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, ensuring they are consistent with plans and specifications.
- Inspect and test HVAC systems and their components (e.g., heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of heating and air conditioning systems, including DDC controls.
- Interpret blueprints and project plans for job-site implementation.
- Ensure HVAC systems and procedures adhere to policies, standards, and laws.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction crew to ensure HVAC systems are installed and functioning correctly.
- Provide excellent service to meet client expectations.
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
- Assist in the training and development of junior team members.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC control systems.
- Demonstrable knowledge of HVAC systems, installation and repair, and comprehensive understanding of DDC controls.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- EPA certification preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in mechanical engineering is a plus.
