Bahnson Mechanical Systems is seeking an experienced Refrigeration/HVAC Service Technician that will perform maintenance and repair operations pertaining to complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems. The Refrigeration/HVAC Service Technician will also execute their position responsibilities in accordance with company policies, practices, processes, and applicable laws. Key Duties: Will be working on medium and low-temperature refrigeration systems requiring technical skills, including walk-in freezers and coolers, rooftop HVAC units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic and electrical controls, and commercial/industrial type production and comfort cooling systems. Understanding of refrigeration recovery, evacuation, and charging. Experience supporting heating cycles to include the heating system using a gas pressure test and other devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot and repair. Basic ability to use multi-meters to confirm voltage, current and resistance values. Must be able to assist with troubleshooting electrical circuits. Control management over all types of systems and how each component within the system interacts. These systems include but are not limited to air cooled, water cooled, hot water systems, chilled water systems, VAV systems, and building automation control systems. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and/or carry moderate weight (up to 50 pounds), climb stairs/ladders daily. Occasional weekday overtime availability, "on-call" rotation responsibility and work with frequent interruptions.
