Position Description: Arlo Solutions is seeking a highly qualified Security Analyst III to provide industrial security policy and operational support to the Director for Defense Intelligence Counterintelligence, Law Enforcement, and Security (DDI CL&S). As a designated Key Personnel under this contract, the Security Analyst will play a pivotal role in advancing policy development, conducting risk assessments, and engaging with stakeholders across the cleared defense industrial base (DIB) to ensure the safeguarding of national security interests and classified information. This role focuses specifically on the Department's engagement with industrial security programs and requires a seasoned professional capable of analyzing national-level issues, supporting interagency coordination, and contributing to the evolution of security oversight frameworks. Location: Arlington, VA (Pentagon) Clearance Active TS/SCI Responsibilities and/or Success Factors: Policy Development & Coordination Develop, review, and coordinate industrial security policy issuances in support of the DDI CL&S. Analyze and comment on policy documents from other DoD and federal agencies to identify and protect DoD industrial security equities. Issue Review & Advisory Provide analytical support for the review of industrial security letters that address national-level issues affecting DoD, non-DoD entities, and the broader defense industrial base. Serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries and matters relating to industrial security within the CL&S portfolio. Stakeholder Engagement Represent DoD and DDI CL&S interests in interagency and industry forums, including participation in the National Industrial Security Program Policy Advisory Committee (NISPPAC) and other recurring DIB working group meetings. Facilitate stakeholder discussions, gather input, and contribute to the formulation of joint policy positions. Compliance & Risk Management Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities across DIB stakeholders and recommend tailored mitigation strategies. Deliver security awareness training and compliance guidance to internal and external personnel to strengthen policy understanding and alignment. Forum Participation & Reporting Attend and contribute to quarterly and ad hoc meetings with industrial security stakeholders across the defense enterprise. Provide detailed reporting and insights to senior leadership, supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement of DoD industrial security practices. Minimum Qualifications Including Certificates: Active Top Secret / SCI clearance Bachelor's degree in security studies, public policy, political science, or a related discipline (master's preferred). Five (5) years extensive directly relevant experience working of experience working with DoD security requirements or Federal Government Executive Agencies, including policy analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and coordination; knowledge of national security, intelligence and Cl methods and procedures to develop and inform the development of security policy on issues not limited to but including Controlled Unclassified Information, Foreign Disclosure, management of classified national security information, Restricted Data and Formerly Restricted Data, Sensitive Compartmented Information, Special Access Programs; the National Industrial Security Program, declassification, and records management One (1) year of experience developing briefing materials and presenting to peers and senior leadership in areas including policy, strategy, oversight functions, capability gaps. Two (2) years of experience supporting senior DoD or officials as a staff and/or action officer. Two (2) year staff officer experience conducting research and analysis of DoD policy/guidance documents and legal decisions. Clearance Active TS/SCI

Responsibilities and/or Success Factors:

  • Policy Development & Coordination

  • Develop, review, and coordinate industrial security policy issuances in support of the DDI CL&S.

  • Analyze and comment on policy documents from other DoD and federal agencies to identify and protect DoD industrial security equities.

  • Issue Review & Advisory

  • Provide analytical support for the review of industrial security letters that address national-level issues affecting DoD, non-DoD entities, and the broader defense industrial base.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries and matters relating to industrial security within the CL&S portfolio.

  • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent DoD and DDI CL&S interests in interagency and industry forums, including participation in the National Industrial Security Program Policy Advisory Committee (NISPPAC) and other recurring DIB working group meetings.

  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions, gather input, and contribute to the formulation of joint policy positions.

  • Compliance & Risk Management

  • Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities across DIB stakeholders and recommend tailored mitigation strategies.

  • Deliver security awareness training and compliance guidance to internal and external personnel to strengthen policy understanding and alignment.

  • Forum Participation & Reporting

  • Attend and contribute to quarterly and ad hoc meetings with industrial security stakeholders across the defense enterprise.

  • Provide detailed reporting and insights to senior leadership, supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement of DoD industrial security practices.

Minimum Qualifications Including Certificates:

  • Active Top Secret / SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in security studies, public policy, political science, or a related discipline (master's preferred).

  • Five (5) years extensive directly relevant experience working of experience working with DoD security requirements or Federal Government Executive Agencies, including policy analysis, evaluation, interpretation, and coordination; knowledge of national security, intelligence and Cl methods and procedures to develop and inform the development of security policy on issues not limited to but including Controlled Unclassified Information, Foreign Disclosure, management of classified national security information, Restricted Data and Formerly Restricted Data, Sensitive Compartmented Information, Special Access Programs; the National Industrial Security Program, declassification, and records management

  • One (1) year of experience developing briefing materials and presenting to peers and senior leadership in areas including policy, strategy, oversight functions, capability gaps.

  • Two (2) years of experience supporting senior DoD or officials as a staff and/or action officer.

  • Two (2) year staff officer experience conducting research and analysis of DoD policy/guidance documents and legal decisions.
