Via Vyse is a building which was developed and is operated by Dunn Development Corp., a private developer.  Via Vyse is a newly constructed residential building located in the East Morrisiana section of New York City.  This new construction is approximately 102,000 square foot within a 12-story elevator building located at 1812 Vyse Avenue in The Bronx. The project has 121 residential dwelling units, one of which will be a superintendent's unit.  The unit distribution is 46 studios, with the remainder being one and two bedroom units. CAMBA, Inc. is the on-site services provider at Via Vyse. Sixty one apartments, 51% of the units in the building, will be master leased by CAMBA and will house chronically homeless single adults and families who, the head of households, are diagnosed with chronic health conditions. The remaining 59 units are occupied by community residents, who may require some services. Position: PT Security Guard Reports To: Shift Supervisor Location: 1812 Vyse Avenue Bronx, NY 10460 What The PT Security Guard Does: Monitor and ensure the security and fire safety of the entire facility. Employ crisis prevention/intervention and crisis management skills when conflict occurs. Patrol buildings and grounds of facilities where CAMBA programs are located. Examine doors, windows, gates and all fire exits to determine that they are secure and in accordance with all fire regulations. Observe and report irregularities such as unusual tenant behavior, trespassers, fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked. Monitor tenants and facility via security camera systems. Conduct fire safety patrol and report findings or fire safety concerns to appropriate supervisory personnel. Conduct security screenings of all tenants and visitors entering the facility. Issue commendations to support positive tenant behaviors such as peers helping peers, compliance with rules and regulations, etc. Counsel tenants that violate rules (such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles) and complete infraction reports.   Observe departing employees, visitors and/or tenants to guard against theft of CAMBA property. Document in the security log book and incident report forms property damage, unusual occurrences, and incidents with employees, visitors and tenants. Maintain assigned equipment per shift. Sign equipment in and out for each shift. May provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports. Minimum Education/Experience Required: High school diploma or G.E.D. Other Requirements: Obtain “Criminal History Checks” (CHC) fingerprinting through the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs (Justice System) and Staff Exclusion List (SEL) clearance. Ability to maintain fingerprint clearance throughout the duration of employment. Must have 8 hour Pre-Assignment security guard training course certificate. Job Summary The Electronic Technician I applies technical knowledge to perform maintenance, installation and repair of aircrew simulators and trainers. Will be responsible for performing basic operations, complete pre and post flight inspections, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on highly complex Flight Simulators. Technicians will evaluate and troubleshoot user problems and system malfunctions on complex networked computer systems, visual & display systems, laser & weapon simulations, video & audio systems, high voltage systems, and interface & peripheral systems. The ability to troubleshoot and repair to component level is desirable. Will be responsible for accurately entering and maintaining documentation of repairs, inventory, and other associated trainer documentation. Able to use electronic test equipment including Digital multi-meters, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Light meters, Logic analyzers, sine wave generators, special test equipment, and complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment is desirable. Additionally, they must maintain a satisfactory and progressive performance throughout a developmental training period and continued skill development. Perform repetitive or standard production assembly operations on electronic or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as CCAs, terminal boards, panels, consoles, drawers, frames and cables. Perform standard Morning Readiness tasks on all training devices. Perform routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks and inspections on all training devices. Assure training devices are maintained according to published procedures and standards. Assist in maintaining training device reliability. Maintain training device sub-systems. Generate work orders and address discrepancies observed during working hours. Clean training devices, computer rooms, and surrounding areas, as required. Work will be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. Responsible for those duties as specified in Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and other Link Training & Simulation Plans. Performs other related collateral and ancillary duties as required. Maintain and update documentation drawings. Support shipping and receiving activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
