Job Description

We are now looking for a Principal Security Architect. Widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers, NVIDIA is an industry leader with groundbreaking developments in High-Performance Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Visualization. The GPU, our invention, serves as the visual cortex of modern computers and is at the heart of our products and services. Our work opens new universes to explore, enables amazing creativity and discovery and powers what were once science fiction inventions from artificial intelligence to autonomous cars.

NVIDIA is seeking a technical leader to define, craft, implement, review, advise, and guide implementation of secure architectures for products. A successful candidate will take a strong hands-on role, working with diverse teams across NVIDIA as well as with external partners to define and meet security requirements for our innovative projects. Exciting opportunities await the successful candidate to work collaboratively with technologies like NVIDIA DriveOS, NVIDIA Solutions for Autonomous Vehicles, NVIDIA DGX/HGX Supercomputers, NVIDIA Orin and Thor SoC! Does this sound like a challenge we can tackle together?

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and Design Secure platform architectures, ranging from bespoke embedded platforms, traditional datacenter server architectures, to automotive platforms.

  • Review Architecture and Implementation assets for consistency to NVIDIA security standards.

  • Develop specifications, recommendations, requirements, and other security guidance in support of business activities in written or other digital forms for reuse.

  • Participate in active product, customer and program engagements including regular meetings, video calls, and other live discussions to aid in evaluation and implementation of NVIDIA products and designs.

  • Support customers, industry consortiums, technical and specification committees, policy drafting and other private and public engagements to enhance and refine NVIDIA products and presence in the markets we serve.

  • Collaborate across the company to guide the direction of designing secure products, working with hardware, software, research, and product teams.

  • Perform Product Cybersecurity assessments on projects of multiple NVIDIA product lines. Complete independent reviews on project work packages.

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience.

  • 12+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Hands-on work with enterprise security architecture, datacenter platforms, and/or system on a chip designs.

  • Experience with security development lifecycle processes and tools.

  • Programming fundamentals across languages such as: Python, C/C++ in support of critical analysis tasks.

  • Strong communication and customer interaction skills.

  • A passion for working as a team is essential.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with ISO 21434 or ISO 26262.

  • Familiarity with Rust, Ada(Spark) and formal methods.

  • Knowledge of NVIDIA product architectures.

NVIDIA’s invention of the GPU 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, we are increasingly known as “the AI computing company”. We are looking to grow our teams with the most resourceful people in the world. Security is a key foundation to all that we do at NVIDIA. If you're creative and autonomous, we want to hear from you!

The base salary range is 272,000 USD - 425,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.

NVIDIA is committed to fostering a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer. As we highly value diversity in our current and future employees, we do not discriminate (including in our hiring and promotion practices) on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status or any other characteristic protected by law.
