What you'll be doing… As the Senior Manager, you will spearhead the product strategy, development, and deployment of security solutions for public sector (Primarily US State, Local, Education (SLED) and the US Federal government). You will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing strategic product roadmaps that align with the needs of these sectors. This role involves working with other product managers in order to guide them in the unique needs of these sectors; coordinating their roadmaps, help build business cases, and extend into go to market activities. Experience in cyber security.; any combination of Cloud Security, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Cybersecurity solutions, Managed Security Services, EDR, MDR, XDR, Vulnerability Research, SIEM Tools, or other relevant security solutions. Experience with NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, FedRamp, FISMA, or StateRamp. Experience with business case development and market research. Even better if you have one or more of the following: Experience with NASPO or EIS contract vehicles. Familiarity with best-practices-based product innovation concepts such as human-centered design thinking, lean, and agile development. Strong communication and rapport-building skills to partner with sales, finance, engineering, and the customers to understand their needs and requirements. A passion for cyber security. Operates security technology equipment including; personal computers, CCTV systems, fire alarm system, access control systems, security alarm systems, and radios. Performs emergency and hazardous material response services in accordance with training, policy and equipment capabilities. Performs security and emergency services related to site emergency management plans. Trains in relation to Hospital Emergency Incident Command System job roles. Performs set up duties related to Emergency Operations Center. Investigates employee, visitor, and patient complaints; works cooperatively with local police departments and authorities. What you'll be doing…

As the Senior Manager, you will spearhead the product strategy, development, and deployment of security solutions for public sector (Primarily US State, Local, Education (SLED) and the US Federal government).  You will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing strategic product roadmaps that align with the needs of these sectors.  This role involves working with other product managers in order to guide them in the unique needs of these sectors; coordinating their roadmaps, help build business cases, and extend into go to market activities. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Market Insight: Proactively identify and anticipate market needs to drive product innovation.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineering, operations, sales, and customers to align product development with market demands and maximize ROI.

  • Strategic Vision & Roadmap: Develop, prioritize, and execute a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap for the service portfolio, ensuring scalability, sustainability, and alignment with Verizon's objectives.

  • Product Leadership: Drive the vision and direction for assigned product lines.

  • Performance Management: Define, track, and deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs) to prioritize and align efforts.

  • Cross-Functional Support: Leverage product and market expertise to support Product Marketing, Sales, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Portfolio Advocacy: Champion the product portfolio both internally and externally.

  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with external partners and internal teams to achieve product goals.

  • Market Opportunity Analysis: Analyze and communicate market opportunities to secure resources and support.

  • Operational Reporting: Conduct regular operational reviews and provide status updates.

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Four or more years of product management or product marketing experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) or Service Integration.

  • Experience in cyber security.; any combination of Cloud Security, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Cybersecurity solutions, Managed Security Services, EDR, MDR, XDR, Vulnerability Research, SIEM Tools, or other relevant security solutions.

  • Experience with NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, FedRamp, FISMA, or StateRamp.

  • Experience with business case development and market research.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience with NASPO or EIS contract vehicles. 

  • Familiarity with best-practices-based product innovation concepts such as human-centered design thinking, lean, and agile development.

  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills to partner with sales, finance, engineering, and the customers to understand their needs and requirements.

  • A passion for cyber security.

  • Conveyed your ideas in compelling and persuasive ways to a variety of audiences.

  • Led a team to achieve goals.

  • Security Clearance(s).
