The Security Supervisor ensures effective operations of the Security department at the connected campus for the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland and Global Center for Health Innovation. This position assists the Security Manager and Assistant Security Manager with the supervision and training of employees, operations and asset protections, and coordinating the security department for the safety of the HCCC, its employees, clients, guests, and exhibitors. 1st Shift: 7am - 3:30pm Pay Range: $16 - $18 (Based on experience) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise Security Officers and/or Guest Service Representatives assigned for shift. Prepare for and conduct shift change – ensuring the Security Team is aware of events, their assigned post and job duties. Coordinate security activities and information with the Security Manager and Assistant Manager. Train new employees on post assignments and general security expectations. Ensure the safety and security of the building and its attendants. Perform and assign routine walks of the facility perimeter inside and out. Identify potential hazards and inform appropriate staff. Write and review daily logs, camera operations, and video. Investigate, document and report accidents and incidents. Respond to emergency situations as applicable and/or as requested. Monitor Security Officer activities at assigned posts, and verify post log books for accuracy. Provide ongoing training to Security Officers and document such training activities. Assist in scheduling of employees to ensure adequate security coverage. Monitor employees’ attendance and discuss attendance trends, concerns, and potential overtime issues with Security Manager & Assistant Security Manager; submit appropriate and accurate documentation of attendance related paperwork to HR. When assigned, monitor the command center systems including but not limited to camera review, access control systems and fire/life safety systems. Perform other duties as assigned. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Physical Demands and Working Conditions This position is exposed to moderate to high noise levels. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility, climb stairs as well as stand or sit for sustained amounts of time. This position is not substantially exposed to adverse working conditions but will be exposed to outside weather and temperature changes dependent upon events and perimeter tours/rounds. Limited exposure to airborne inhalants such as vehicular exhaust, dust and/or cleaning solutions while performing routine security rounds. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive information security policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure alignment with industry standards such as NIST, CIS, and other relevant frameworks. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Review and contribute to the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, and other security technologies. Participate in regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks. Ensure secure configuration of cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. Review and recommend cybersecurity training programs to educate employees on best practices and emerging threats. Promote a culture of security awareness across the organization. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., CMMC, NIST, CIS, PCI-DSS). Prepare and present reports on security posture, incidents, and compliance to the Manager of Cyber/Information Security and senior leadership. Collaborate with IT, operations, and other departments to integrate security into business processes and systems. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the cybersecurity team. Stay current on emerging threats, technologies, and best practices to recommend improvements to the security program. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable. Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies. Experience with security tools such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, Cisco Umbrella, Artic Wolf, or similar platforms. Proficiency in cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure) and securing industrial control systems (ICS) is a plus. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Summary

Legends GLOBAL, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Security Supervisor at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. The Security Supervisor ensures effective operations of the Security department at the connected campus for the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland and Global Center for Health Innovation. This position assists the Security Manager and Assistant Security Manager with the supervision and training of employees, operations and asset protections, and coordinating the security department for the safety of the HCCC, its employees, clients, guests, and exhibitors.

1st Shift: 7am - 3:30pm

Pay Range: $16 - $18 (Based on experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise Security Officers and/or Guest Service Representatives assigned for shift.
  • Prepare for and conduct shift change – ensuring the Security Team is aware of events, their assigned post and job duties.
  • Coordinate security activities and information with the Security Manager and Assistant Manager.
  • Train new employees on post assignments and general security expectations.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the building and its attendants.
  • Perform and assign routine walks of the facility perimeter inside and out.
  • Identify potential hazards and inform appropriate staff.
  • Write and review daily logs, camera operations, and video.
  • Investigate, document and report accidents and incidents.
  • Respond to emergency situations as applicable and/or as requested.
  • Monitor Security Officer activities at assigned posts, and verify post log books for accuracy.
  • Provide ongoing training to Security Officers and document such training activities. 
  • Assist in scheduling of employees to ensure adequate security coverage.
  • Monitor employees’ attendance and discuss attendance trends, concerns, and potential overtime issues with Security Manager & Assistant Security Manager; submit appropriate and accurate documentation of attendance related paperwork to HR.
  • When assigned, monitor the command center systems including but not limited to camera review, access control systems and fire/life safety systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

This position is exposed to moderate to high noise levels. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility, climb stairs as well as stand or sit for sustained amounts of time. This position is not substantially exposed to adverse working conditions but will be exposed to outside weather and temperature changes dependent upon events and perimeter tours/rounds.
