Employ crisis prevention/intervention and crisis management skills when conflict occurs. Patrol buildings and grounds of facilities where CAMBA programs are located. Examine doors, windows, gates and all fire exits to determine that they are secure and in accordance with all fire regulations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Train new security employees in all aspects of the facility. Supervise and delegate tasks assigned to SSO’s, drivers and kitchen staff working on assigned shifts Monitor access control, and ensure effective use of the magnetometer and x-ray machine Respond to incidents and utilize crisis management to protect the safety of the staff and clients Make rounds throughout the facility, and external premises to prevent, detect, deter, and report of hazardous situations, trespassers, and illegal activities. Respond to emergencies in person throughout the building, and provide guidance and support to line staff and subordinates. Complete monthly security reports Create incident reports and disseminate as appropriate Document in CARES and other Westhab protocols Facilitate process when EMS and NYPD are on site Conduct daily security and fire safety system inspections Fulfill all job responsibilities of a Client Care Monitor in their absence.  Adjust staff schedules due to sick calls, and unexpected staff shortages Maintain safety and security of clients and staff. Provide crisis intervention when needed. Assist Security Manager in preparing and executing fire drills. Review log book entries, incident reports, and critical administrative responsibilities on assigned shift, checking for errors and ensuring accuracy Attend and conduct various meetings and training’s as needed. Check inventory of all assigned equipment daily, and investigate any discrepancies. Perform all related duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in social services, criminology or related field; or equivalent experience required. A valid N.Y.S Security Guard License, Fire Guard License (FB0, or F89), and certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI).   Must possess a general knowledge of security systems. Ability to solve problems; ability to make decisions based on factual information a must. Knowledge of video surveillance and fire detection / alarm notification system a must. We seek individuals capable of monitoring, analyzing, and identifying situations and determining the best approach to resolve the situations they encounter. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, an impressive ability to communicate well with others, and the ability to think critically in any situation. This position requires flexible availability and access to your own transportation.   Specific Duties and Job Functions: • Perform security patrols of designated areas by foot or vehicle. • Observe for any conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards • Respond to emergency situations and/or alarms and contact appropriate emergency services based on the situation. • Monitor for the presence of unauthorized persons • Maintain access control of premises and monitor entrances and exits • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities • Provide a high level of customer service and assistance to clients, client employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner   Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma or GED equivalent • 18 years of age or older • Security experience preferred • Must possess a State Issued License as a Security Officer (where applicable) or meet qualifications to complete state required Security Officer Affidavit/Registration. • Be able to pass a drug screen • Have access to reliable transportation   Knowledge Skills and Abilities: • Good working knowledge of Security Operations. • Understanding of Safety Practices in a Business environment. • Ability to provide a high level of Customer Service. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Be computer proficient • Read, understand and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing in communicating with the public and co-workers, giving and receiving instructions • High attention to detail • Ability to work in various environments including but not limited to adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, and heat.   Key Competencies: • Must be able to work as part of a team. • Must be able to manage stressful situations and maintain their own composure throughout. • Must maintain ethical conduct at all times. • Must be able to communicate instructions in a clear and concise manner. • Must be Customer/Client focused. • Must be able to actively listen to others. • Must be able to think critically in all situations.   Guardcorps Security and Investigations Services is the corporate services provider our clients rely on to ensure the health, safety and efficiency of their people.
