Title: Security Escort KBR is seeking to hire a Security Escort with a Top Secret Clearance to join our Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Operating Unit. CIP provides expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and Utilities/Control Systems for the DoD, FAA, and Federal Law Enforcement. Job Summary: The Security Escort will ensure that security requirements are maintained in support of the Security Facility Operations, Maintenance, and Security (SFOMS) program located at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. Answers routine questions concerning security procedures. May work in a secured environment. Work performed in the area of security is performed in accordance with DSS (Defense Security Service), NSA (National Security Agency), and/or other applicable agencies which conduct regular security audits and/or investigations. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide escort coverage for uncleared construction work crew, visiting Naval Research Lab (NRL) to perform work. Meet the uncleared crewmembers at the Naval Research Lab Visitor Control Center and escort them to the construction site. Brief the crew on NRL security policy that applies to visitors, and explain to them that you must be aware of their whereabouts at all times while they are on the Navel Research Lab. Remain with the crew so that you have visual contact with them as they are performing their work. Insure that defined security procedures are followed regarding personnel and materials entering and leaving the work area. There will be two cleared escorts working with the crew, so if someone from the crew has to go elsewhere, make the remaining escort aware that you are departing before you escort the individual away from the crew. Verify that all NRL security requirements are being met. Basic Qualifications: U.S. Citizen. Active Top Secret clearance required. KBR is seeking to hire a Security Escort with a Top Secret Clearance to join our Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Operating Unit. CIP provides expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and Utilities/Control Systems for the DoD, FAA, and Federal Law Enforcement.

Job Summary:

The Security Escort will ensure that security requirements are maintained in support of the Security Facility Operations, Maintenance, and Security (SFOMS) program located at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. Answers routine questions concerning security procedures. May work in a secured environment. Work performed in the area of security is performed in accordance with DSS (Defense Security Service), NSA (National Security Agency), and/or other applicable agencies which conduct regular security audits and/or investigations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide escort coverage for uncleared construction work crew, visiting Naval Research Lab (NRL) to perform work.
  • Meet the uncleared crewmembers at the Naval Research Lab Visitor Control Center and escort them to the construction site.
  • Brief the crew on NRL security policy that applies to visitors, and explain to them that you must be aware of their whereabouts at all times while they are on the Navel Research Lab.
  • Remain with the crew so that you have visual contact with them as they are performing their work.
  • Insure that defined security procedures are followed regarding personnel and materials entering and leaving the work area.
  • There will be two cleared escorts working with the crew, so if someone from the crew has to go elsewhere, make the remaining escort aware that you are departing before you escort the individual away from the crew.
  • Verify that all NRL security requirements are being met.

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen. Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • High School diploma
  • 5 years of related work experience

This is a temporary position with approximately 12 months duration, possibly longer.

This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position.
