What You’ll do Our engineers are the foundation of success for our customers and our business. We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our Physical Security team in Idaho Falls, Idaho. This position plays a key role in the preparation, installation, management and commission of IP-based integrated security solutions. The Solutions Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration and testing of IP based surveillance cameras, door controllers, switches, routers, servers, UPSs and other active components related to the project. Day-to-day tasks may include: Document and diagram the elements of the project for the final documentation package. Coordinate and work with other subcontractors including, but not limited to, electricians, infrastructure cabling companies and AutoCAD engineers. Install, configure and test IP-based networking hardware including, but not limited to, cameras, door controllers, switches, routers, servers, etc. Install, configure and test IP-based surveillance software on server platforms. Troubleshoot and diagnose networking issues including physical cabling, networking components, switching and/or routing issues, wireless connectivity issues, server issues, etc. Organize materials and equipment for projects. Coordinate installation schedule with the client/end user. Communicate progress of projects to both internal team and the client/end user. Prepare and present end-user trainings of the software and integrated security solution. Provide presentations of products and solutions for Sales, as needed. You have the following knowledge, skills, abilities and/or education: 5+ years of experience in Physical Security. Thorough understanding of IP networks including VLANs, switching and routing. Extensive experience with Microsoft Operating Systems (workstation and server), Cisco IOS, and VMWare. Experience with server hardware and components including RAID levels and virtualization. Experience with troubleshooting low voltage power, networking equipment, data connectivity issues, etc. Experience with Ethernet and Fiber Optic data cabling and their different types. Experience with construction projects. Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook. Support analysis of the findings and provide expert technical guidance for mitigation strategies, including implementation advice on the cyber security risk findings, and other complex problems. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. A minimum of five (5) years experience as an Information Assurance (IA) Analyst, ISSE, ISSO, or similar role in ATO package development, including generating security documentation for requirements, security control assessment, STIG and IAVA compliance, Standard Operating Procedures, test results, etc. eMASS experience. Professional security certification such as: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, or higher. Strong desktop publishing skills using Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with industry writing styles such as grammar, sentence form, and structure. Ability to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment. Ideally, you will also have: CISSP, CASP, or a similar certificate is preferred. Master's Degree in Cybersecurity or related field. Strong initiative, detail orientation, organizational skills, and aptitude for analytical thinking. Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as a part of a team. What You’ll do
Our engineers are the foundation of success for our customers and our business. We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our Physical Security team in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  This position plays a key role in the preparation, installation, management and commission of IP-based integrated security solutions. The Solutions Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration and testing of IP based surveillance cameras, door controllers, switches, routers, servers, UPSs and other active components related to the project. Day-to-day tasks may include: 
  • Document and diagram the elements of the project for the final documentation package.
  • Coordinate and work with other subcontractors including, but not limited to, electricians, infrastructure cabling companies and AutoCAD engineers.
  • Install, configure and test IP-based networking hardware including, but not limited to, cameras, door controllers, switches, routers, servers, etc.
  • Install, configure and test IP-based surveillance software on server platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose networking issues including physical cabling, networking components, switching and/or routing issues, wireless connectivity issues, server issues, etc.
  • Organize materials and equipment for projects. Coordinate installation schedule with the client/end user.
  • Communicate progress of projects to both internal team and the client/end user.
  • Prepare and present end-user trainings of the software and integrated security solution.
  • Provide presentations of products and solutions for Sales, as needed.
Who you are
 
You’re a strong team player that is invested in helping your customers succeed and contributing to a great company culture.  You have the following knowledge, skills, abilities and/or education:
  • 5+ years of experience in Physical Security.
  • Thorough understanding of IP networks including VLANs, switching and routing.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Operating Systems (workstation and server), Cisco IOS, and VMWare.
  • Experience with server hardware and components including RAID levels and virtualization.
  • Experience with troubleshooting low voltage power, networking equipment, data connectivity issues, etc.
  • Experience with Ethernet and Fiber Optic data cabling and their different types.
  • Experience with construction projects.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook.
Our ideal candidate also has the following knowledge, skills or abilities: 
  • College degree in a related field.
  • Current Manufacturer Certification.
  • Experience with Genetec software.
  • Experience with Axis surveillance cameras.  
  • Experience with AutoCAD. 
  • Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems and/or Wireless Networks.
