Summary/Objective The Sr. Security Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, monitoring and managing secure solutions. The engineer delivers these solutions in accordance with the organization's architectural designs, best practices, and regulatory or compliance requirements. As risks change, the security engineer is responsible for recommending modifications and enhancements to ensure the organization is evolving with the threat landscape. Essential Functions/ Responsibilities Administer and maintain security systems and tools, including software updates, configuration and control reviews. Build tools and automation to manage and enforce security policies, automate processes at scale. Actively participate and lead security team meetings that facilitate secure design. Engage in information security projects that evaluate existing security infrastructure and propose changes as defined by security leadership and architects. Work in tandem with architects, the security operations center (SOC), incident responders and technology infrastructure and development team members. Develop security test plans from architectural design. Identify deficiencies and make enhancements to ensure production is not impacted. Help review and design systems that improve the security of application software and infrastructure. Design, Code and Integrate application & platform security solutions in our tech stack to enable security & privacy by default. Oversees the configuration, customization, diagnoses, and enhancements for application & platform software. Performs detailed design and code reviews and addresses findings appropriately. Supervisory Responsibility No Supervisory responsibilities at this time. Education and Experience Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field. Background in delivering projects in a timely fashion. 6+ years of work experience. Strong organization, communications and people skills required. CISSP Certification is a plus. Public cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc). Experience in scripting and / or software development using languages like Python, JavaScript Experience with configuration management tools like Salt / Ansible / Puppet / Chef Experience building infrastructure using Terraform / Cloud Formation (Infrastructure as a code) Familiarity with secure coding practices Experience in network and network security administration Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. Summary/Objective

The Sr. Security Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, monitoring and managing secure solutions. The engineer delivers these solutions in accordance with the organization's architectural designs, best practices, and regulatory or compliance requirements. As risks change, the security engineer is responsible for recommending modifications and enhancements to ensure the organization is evolving with the threat landscape.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain security systems and tools, including software updates, configuration and control reviews. Build tools and automation to manage and enforce security policies, automate processes at scale.
  • Actively participate and lead security team meetings that facilitate secure design.
  • Engage in information security projects that evaluate existing security infrastructure and propose changes as defined by security leadership and architects.
  • Work in tandem with architects, the security operations center (SOC), incident responders and technology infrastructure and development team members.
  • Develop security test plans from architectural design. Identify deficiencies and make enhancements to ensure production is not impacted.
  • Help review and design systems that improve the security of application software and infrastructure.
  • Design, Code and Integrate application & platform security solutions in our tech stack to enable security & privacy by default.
  • Oversees the configuration, customization, diagnoses, and enhancements for application & platform software.
  • Performs detailed design and code reviews and addresses findings appropriately.
