Email, Identity & Data Protection Manage Mimecast for email filtering, archiving, DLP, and continuity. Implement zero trust architecture, RBAC, MFA, and identity governance via Entra ID (Azure AD) and conditional access. Enforce encryption, backup, and recovery policies across devices, cloud platforms, and remote systems. Shipboard & Satellite Security Secure onboard vessel systems and integrate them into the corporate security framework. Implement authentication and encryption for satellite uplinks/downlinks, telemetry feeds, and remote access scenarios. Harden wireless and maritime network access points against spoofing, interception, and unauthorized device access. Leadership & Governance Supervise a team of cloud engineers and cybersecurity analysts; provide mentorship and performance direction. Maintain compliance with NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, IMO 2021, and CMMC standards. Establish governance practices for third-party vendors, secure development pipelines, and continuous risk assessment. Reports To: Vice President of Technology

Schedule: Monday through Friday Business hours and additional as required

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Position Supervised: Yes

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Engineering; Master’s preferred.

Experience: 8+ years in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, with 5+ in cloud and security leadership.

Deep technical experience in:

  - Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune

  - CrowdStrike Falcon (EDR and SIEM)

  - Cisco Umbrella and DNS security

  - MDM deployment and administration

  - Penetration testing and vulnerability remediation

  - Incident Management (Detection and Response)

  - Mimecast email security

Languages: English

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Cloud & SaaS Management

  • Architect and administer Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID).
  • Manage full user lifecycle: provisioning, access control, license assignment, and automation workflows.
  • Secure and maintain API integrations for maritime systems, satellite links, and cloud-native services.

Security Operations

  • Constant evaluation of our security posture against new known threats.
  • Provide guidance on monthly cybersecurity training based on new known threats.
  • Lead CrowdStrike Falcon EDR deployment and SIEM correlation for proactive detection and response.
  • Manage Cisco Umbrella for DNS-layer protection, web filtering, and cloud access security.
  • Design and lead ongoing penetration testing, vulnerability management, and remediation initiatives.
  • Own the Incident Management Lifecycle, including playbook development, response coordination, RCA, and lessons learned.
  • Manage Monitoring and Observability Management (MOM) tools to ensure system visibility across hybrid and remote assets.

Mobile Device & Endpoint Management

  • Oversee enterprise MDM (Mobile Device Management) using Microsoft Intune or similar, enforcing secure configurations for smartphones, tablets, and laptops across land and vessel environments.
  • Define and implement device compliance policies, remote wipe, app protection, and conditional access.
  • Align MDM strategy with broader endpoint protection and wireless security frameworks for shipboard crews and satellite-connected teams.

Email, Identity & Data Protection

  • Manage Mimecast for email filtering, archiving, DLP, and continuity.
  • Implement zero trust architecture, RBAC, MFA, and identity governance via Entra ID (Azure AD) and conditional access.
  • Enforce encryption, backup, and recovery policies across devices, cloud platforms, and remote systems.

Shipboard & Satellite Security

  • Secure onboard vessel systems and integrate them into the corporate security framework.
  • Implement authentication and encryption for satellite uplinks/downlinks, telemetry feeds, and remote access scenarios.
  • Harden wireless and maritime network access points against spoofing, interception, and unauthorized device access.

Leadership & Governance

  • Supervise a team of cloud engineers and cybersecurity analysts; provide mentorship and performance direction.
  • Maintain compliance with NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, IMO 2021, and CMMC standards.
  • Establish governance practices for third-party vendors, secure development pipelines, and continuous risk assessment.
