Job Description

Interapt is developing a CyberSecurity team to support a high impact client engagement focused on cloud security operations, IT risk, and secure architecture. This team will work closely with lead and cross-functional client teams to implement technical security controls, support project-based risk reviews, and assist in establishing secure practices across the SDLC.

Interapt is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Administration Engineer to support critical security infrastructure. In this role, you'll lead the deployment and maintenance of cybersecurity tools and Linux systems, with a strong focus on automation, performance tuning, and Kubernetes-based environments.

  • Administer and harden Linux systems (RedHat, Ubuntu) and automate tasks using Ansible, Bash, or Python
  • Deploy and support applications within Kubernetes environments
  • Manage log pipelines and ingestion using Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Logstash
  • Configure and maintain SIEM platforms (preferably QRadar), develop dashboards, and ensure log fidelity
  • Support and troubleshoot endpoint detection tools (EDR) and ensure integration with broader SOC operations
  • Lead system patching, certificate management, and performance tuning across cybersecurity infrastructure

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree + 4 years in cybersecurity/infrastructure (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of hands-on Kubernetes application deployment
  • Strong scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, Ansible)
  • Experience with SIEM and log management platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills

Preferred

  • Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, CKS
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with virtualization and threat detection strategies
