Description Position at Glidewell Dental Essential Functions : Monitor facility and surrounding areas to guard against suspicious activities. Patrols building and grounds by foot and vehicle to protect establishment against potential threats. Rejects, apprehends or evicts violators from premises if deemed necessary. Escorts personnel to their car and/or department as requested by management and or Human Resources. Examines and all entry points such doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure. Addresses violations, infractions, property damage, suspicious activity, threats, potential hazard, disturbances, and any other irregular activity. Responds to and investigate alarms and disturbances, addressing or escalating accordingly. Completes incident reports for irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. Relay escalated incidents to appropriate department to end handle such as Management, Facilities, Operations, or Human Resources. Inspects and adjusts security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering. Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year of working experience required. Previous experience as a Security Guard, preferred. Special Requirements/Certification: Current Security Guard License, required. Responsibilities: Security Technology Leadership Oversee architecture, design, and implementation of integrated security systems including: Access Control (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Unifi, CCure): badge provisioning, permissions, and secure zone design. Essential Functions:
  • Monitor facility and surrounding areas to guard against suspicious activities.
  • Patrols building and grounds by foot and vehicle to protect establishment against potential threats.
  • Fulfills front desk duties during off-hours such as responding to phone calls, assisting customers, responding to incoming inquires, contacting employees and managers, vendor assistance, relaying information to appropriate parties, etc.
  • Contact’s authorities (e.g., police, fire departments, etc.) in cases of emergency or threats such as fire, medical emergency, unwelcomed violators, suspicious activities, etc.
  • Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, vendors, and others to maintain security of premises.
  • Rejects, apprehends or evicts violators from premises if deemed necessary.
  • Escorts personnel to their car and/or department as requested by management and or Human Resources.
  • Examines and all entry points such doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
  • Addresses violations, infractions, property damage, suspicious activity, threats, potential hazard, disturbances, and any other irregular activity.
  • Responds to and investigate alarms and disturbances, addressing or escalating accordingly.
  • Completes incident reports for irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Relay escalated incidents to appropriate department to end handle such as Management, Facilities, Operations, or Human Resources.
  • Inspects and adjusts security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of working experience required.
  • Previous experience as a Security Guard, preferred.
Special Requirements/Certification:
  • Current Security Guard License, required.
  • Valid CA driver’s license.
Pay Ranges: $17.50/hr - $18.50/hr
