We are seeking an Electronic Security Designer with a strong focus and background in municipal and correctional projects to work in our Rochester, NY office. This position will work closely with engineering staff and clients to develop designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for electronic security projects from conception to construction. Electronic security systems include Access Control, Intrusion and Perimeter Detection, CCTV, Duress systems, and Integration of multiple systems. Individual must be able to work independently, as well as part of multi-discipline teams producing construction documents for physical and electronic security systems. Duties Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports. Prepare security system drawings and details using AutoCAD. Perform field investigations to document existing conditions. Function as a project manager for Electronic Security projects, through all phases (proposal, design, bidding, and construction). Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees. Expected to improve current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthens skills. Requirements Experience with Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Project Management experience is a plus. A certificate or degree in AutoCAD, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV, or related field is a plus. Familiarity with JVSG, Axis Site Designer, or Avigilon System Design Tool is a plus. Strong writing, organizational and communications skills. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously. Clean criminal record with ability to enter and work within NYS DOCCS facilities. POSITION OVERVIEW The Security Supervisor is responsible for the instruction and training of new security monitors, scheduling and assigning them to designated posts. Job Description

We are seeking an Electronic Security Designer with a strong focus and background in municipal and correctional projects to work in our Rochester, NY office. This position will work closely with engineering staff and clients to develop designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for electronic security projects from conception to construction. Electronic security systems include Access Control, Intrusion and Perimeter Detection, CCTV, Duress systems, and Integration of multiple systems.

Individual must be able to work independently, as well as part of multi-discipline teams producing construction documents for physical and electronic security systems.

Duties

  • Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Prepare security system drawings and details using AutoCAD.
  • Perform field investigations to document existing conditions.
  • Function as a project manager for Electronic Security projects, through all phases (proposal, design, bidding, and construction).
  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees.
  • Expected to improve current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthens skills.

Requirements

  • Experience with Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
  • Project Management experience is a plus.
  • A certificate or degree in AutoCAD, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, CCTV, or related field is a plus.
  • Familiarity with JVSG, Axis Site Designer, or Avigilon System Design Tool is a plus.
  • Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Clean criminal record with ability to enter and work within NYS DOCCS facilities.
