Supervisor of Security Opportunity: The Supervisor of Security is responsible for overseeing daily security operations and supervising Safety & Security Officers. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment by leading response efforts to incidents, monitoring compliance with policies, and ensuring customer-focused service delivery. The Supervisor of Security also contributes to strategic planning, continuous improvement of safety procedures, and staff development. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Supervisor works regular Security Officer shifts and provides direct coverage when open shifts or emergent staffing needs arise. Compensation and Benefits: The pay range for this role is $23.92 - $26.05, based on experience and education. This is a full-time, on-site position. Provide direct coverage for open shifts or during emergent staffing shortages. Coordinate and conduct regular and random patrols throughout the NCHC campus and perimeter. Monitor facility access and ensure all visitor and contractor procedures are followed. Review and analyze daily activity reports, incident logs, and camera system footage to identify risks and trends. Lead safety-related education and code response drills for NCHC staff. Maintain readiness of the security office and ensure equipment, radios, and systems are functioning properly. Assist with new admissions and behavioral safety concerns in collaboration with clinical teams. Provide on-call or rotational leadership coverage for safety/security events as needed. In addition, UF Health Jacksonville contracts with MHRC to manage the hospital’s adult inpatient psychiatric unit. MHRC also operates eight Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) programs for adults with severe and persistent mental illness, located in Clearwater, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Kissimmee, Rockledge, Tampa, and Winter Haven, as well as a FACT Lite program providing Linking, Advocating, Treating, Transitioning, Empowering & Recovery Support (LATTERS) services in Jacksonville. The two FACT teams located in Jacksonville serve residents of Duval, Clay, and Nassau counties. Job Description

Supervisor of Security Opportunity:

The Supervisor of Security is responsible for overseeing daily security operations and supervising Safety & Security Officers. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment by leading response efforts to incidents, monitoring compliance with policies, and ensuring customer-focused service delivery. The Supervisor of Security also contributes to strategic planning, continuous improvement of safety procedures, and staff development.  In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Supervisor works regular Security Officer shifts and provides direct coverage when open shifts or emergent staffing needs arise.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The pay range for this role is $23.92 - $26.05, based on experience and education.
  • This is a full-time, on-site position.

What Qualifies You:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in a related field
  • Three or more years of relevant experience in security, public safety, or human services including experience in de-escalation and emergency response.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  •  Valid Wisconsin driver's license and appropriate auto insurance coverage as required by North Central Health Care.
  •  Must have the use of a personal vehicle.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of relevant work experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.

What a Supervisor of Security does at NCHC:

Leadership & Supervision:

  • Supervise Safety & Security Officers, including scheduling, assigning duties, evaluating performance, and providing coaching and training.
  • Monitor and support day-to-day security operations across NCHC facilities.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as a lead responder in complex or high-risk incidents and serve as the primary contact for law enforcement when appropriate.

Operations & Security Response:

  • Role model and guide employees on de-escalation techniques
  • Perform all duties of a Safety & Security Officer as part of the regular schedule.
  • Provide direct coverage for open shifts or during emergent staffing shortages.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular and random patrols throughout the NCHC campus and perimeter.
  • Monitor facility access and ensure all visitor and contractor procedures are followed.
  • Review and analyze daily activity reports, incident logs, and camera system footage to identify risks and trends.
  • Lead safety-related education and code response drills for NCHC staff.
  • Maintain readiness of the security office and ensure equipment, radios, and systems are functioning properly.
  • Assist with new admissions and behavioral safety concerns in collaboration with clinical teams.
  • Provide on-call or rotational leadership coverage for safety/security events as needed.
