Job Description: Security Officer We are hiring event security for candlelight concert events. On the weekend evenings we offer concerts there will be 2 concerts back-to-back. The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all guests, visitors, and property at the venue.Strong observational skills and attention to detail as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. This job requires standing for extended periods, walking, and responding to situations when necessary. This is a part-time, in-person position. Key Responsibilities: Our concerts are in very old, historical, and priceless venues. The venues prohibit outside food or drink to ensure no possible damage to the property. You will screen guests as they arrive and advise them of this policy if they have outside food or drink with them. Greet and assist visitors in a professional manner, providing information and directions as needed. Serve as a point of contact for visitors who have concerns or need assistance with security-related issues. Conduct regular property patrols to monitor for suspicious activity within an assigned area. Verify the tickets of individuals entering and exiting the premises, including employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Control access points and enforce security procedures related to entry/exit protocols. Respond promptly to security issues or incidents. Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services in the event of a serious security situation. Enforce policies and procedures related to health and safety, including fire evacuation drills and emergency response protocols. Report any damaged equipment, broken locks, or security vulnerabilities to management for timely resolution. Work closely with other security team members, management, and departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; further education or security certifications preferred (e.g., Security Guard Training, First Aid/CPR). Work with development teams to remediate security flaws in source code and follow secure coding practices. Provide guidance on OWASP Top 10 and SANS 25 vulnerabilities, including how they arise, how to exploit them, and how to prevent them. Able to perform scripting and coding in Java and Python as-needed for security engineering Vulnerability Management & Compliance: Ensure required DAST, SAST, and SCA release and periodic scanning is occurring and that scans and findings are addressed within SLA. Review and approve false positives and mitigated-by-design requests for DAST, SAST, and SCA Review and approve SDLC tasks (MME and SbD MUFG processes) for DAST, SAST, and SCA Maintain compliance with NIST, PCI-DSS, FFIEC, SOX, CIS security frameworks. Store and organize security artifacts in archives, following standardized documentation practices. Services to be Performed Security Collaboration & Process Improvement: Work closely with developers, DevOps teams, and application owners to secure software at all stages of SDLC. Automate security scanning processes via scripting and improving reporting capabilities. Stay updated on the latest exploitation techniques, security research, and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience). Relevant security certifications (e.g., OSCP, OSWE, GWAPT, CEH) are highly desirable. 5+ years of experience in Application Security, Secure Development, DAST, and SAST. We are hiring event security for candlelight concert events. On the weekend evenings we offer concerts there will be 2 concerts back-to-back.  The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all guests, visitors, and property at the venue.Strong observational skills and attention to detail as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. This job requires standing for extended periods, walking, and responding to situations when necessary. This is a part-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Our concerts are in very old, historical, and priceless venues. The venues prohibit outside food or drink to ensure no possible damage to the property. You will screen guests as they arrive and advise them of this policy if they have outside food or drink with them.
    • Greet and assist visitors in a professional manner, providing information and directions as needed.
    • Serve as a point of contact for visitors who have concerns or need assistance with security-related issues.
    • Conduct regular property patrols to monitor for suspicious activity within an assigned area.
    • Verify the tickets of individuals entering and exiting the premises, including employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
    • Control access points and enforce security procedures related to entry/exit protocols.
    • Respond promptly to security issues or incidents.
    • Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services in the event of a serious security situation.
    • Enforce policies and procedures related to health and safety, including fire evacuation drills and emergency response protocols.
    • Report any damaged equipment, broken locks, or security vulnerabilities to management for timely resolution.
    • Work closely with other security team members, management, and departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or security certifications preferred (e.g., Security Guard Training, First Aid/CPR).
  • Previous experience in a security or law enforcement role is a plus but not required.
  • CPR certification is a plus.
