Develop and maintain documentation for Certification & Accreditation in accordance with specified policies. Develop and update system security plans and other IA documentation. Provide CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware. Develop system security policy and ensure compliance. Administer the user identification and authentication mechanisms of the Information System. Candidates should have the following qualifications:  TSI/SCI with Polygraph Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 12 years of relevant experience. Extensive experience as an Information Systems Security Officer on large software development and integration programs. Van Dyke III, a 180 unit supportive/affordable housing development for individuals and families.  Van Dyke III will be located on the campus of Van Dyke Houses, a NYCHA-owned public housing development in the Brownsville neighborhood in Brooklyn.  The Van Dyke facility will provide 54 units for New York/New York III formerly homeless families under NYC 15/15. The remaining 126 units will provide housing for low-income households, including a live-in superintendent.  CAMBA will have a full on-site office suite and offer case management to promote healthy living, connection to medical, mental health and substance treatment, and assisting tenants to access and maintain public benefits; computer trainings and resume workshops within the on-site computer library; financial literacy programs; access and referral services to other CAMBA programs and local organizations and service providers; community-building activities to help integrate the tenants; and additional supports as needed to help tenants succeed and remain stably housed. Position: Security Guard Reports To: Assistant Program Manager Location: 405 Dumont Avenue, Brooklyn, NY  11207 What The Security Guard Does Monitor and ensure the security and fire safety of the entire facility. Employ crisis prevention/intervention and crisis management skills when conflict occurs. Patrol buildings and grounds of facilities where CAMBA programs are located. Examine doors, windows, gates and all fire exits to determine that they are secure and in accordance with all fire regulations. Observe and report irregularities such as unusual tenant behavior, trespassers, fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked. Monitor tenants and facility via security camera systems. Conduct fire safety patrol and report findings or fire safety concerns to appropriate supervisory personnel. Conduct security screenings of all tenants and visitors entering the facility. Issue commendations to support positive tenant behaviors such as peers helping peers, compliance with rules and regulations, etc. Counsel tenants that violate rules (such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles) and complete infraction reports. Observe departing employees, visitors and/or tenants to guard against theft of CAMBA property. Document in the security log book and incident report forms property damage, unusual occurrences, and incidents with employees, visitors and tenants. Maintain assigned equipment per shift. Sign equipment in and out for each shift. May provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports. Minimum Education/Experience Required: High school diploma or G.E.D or equivalent experience. Other Requirements: Must be fingerprinted and obtain Criminal History Checks” (CHC) with Justice Center for the Protection of Vulnerable People with Special Needs. Ability to maintain fingerprint clearance throughout the duration of employment. As a Mandated Reporter, you must immediately report suspected incidents/cases of abuse and neglect to the Vulnerable Persons Central Register (VPCR) Hotline at 1-855-373-2122 and complete a CAMBA Incident Report. Must have 8 hour Pre-Assignment security guard training course certificate. Must obtain 16 hour On-the-Job security guard training course certificate within 90 days of employment. Must complete 8 Hour Annual In-Service Course each calendar year. Must have and maintain a NYS Security Guard license. Must obtain NYS Security Guard registration, and must maintain registration during employment. Must obtain Fire guard certification and maintain it throughout employment. Compensation : $33,742.80 annually When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization. Job Overview: Star Pro Security Patrol, Inc. is seeking a competent and reliable Armed Security Officer to safeguard our client's school premises. The ideal candidate will be a highly trained individual capable of handling firearms responsibly and exercising sound judgment in potentially dangerous situations. The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through vigilant surveillance, enforcing security protocols, and responding promptly to any threats or emergencies.
Responsibilities:
  1. Patrol and Monitor: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas on foot to ensure the security of the premises. Monitor surveillance equipment and alarms to detect and respond to suspicious activity or breaches.
  2. Enforce Security Procedures: Implement and enforce security procedures, including access control measures, visitor screening, and identification checks. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  3. Deter Criminal Activity: Act as a visible deterrent to potential criminal activity by maintaining a professional and authoritative presence. Respond assertively to any attempts to breach security or endanger the safety of individuals on the premises.
  4. Handle Emergencies: Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or disturbances. Take appropriate action to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of personnel and property.
  5. Use of Firearms: Safely and responsibly carry and handle firearms in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Be proficient in the use of firearms and use them only as a last resort in situations where there is an imminent threat to life or property.
  6. Report Writing: Document all security-related incidents, activities, and observations in detailed reports. Maintain accurate records of patrols, incidents, and any security-related occurrences.
  7. Collaborate with Authorities: Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders as necessary. Provide assistance and support during investigations or legal proceedings.
  8. Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with employees, visitors, and clients. Provide assistance and information as needed to ensure a positive and secure experience for all.
Requirements:
  1. Armed Security Certification: Must possess a valid Guard Card and Exposed Firearms permit.
  2. GEAR:
    1. Duty Belt
    2. Level 3a Vest
    3. Level 3 Holster
    4. Firearm
    5. Handcuffs
    6. 2/3 non-lethals (oc spray, taser, baton)
  3. VALID and CURRENT Driver's License: This role WILL REQUIRE a Driver's License due to the nature of work. You will be driving one of our Company-owned patrol units on shift
  4. Firearms Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in the safe handling and use of firearms. Must have completed firearms training courses and be able to pass regular proficiency assessments.
  5. Physical Fitness: Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, walking, and physical exertion. Must be in good physical condition and capable of responding effectively to emergencies.
  6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and maintain composure in stressful situations.
  7. Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to assess situations quickly, analyze risks, and take appropriate action to maintain security and safety.
  8. Ethical Conduct: High level of integrity and ethical conduct. Must adhere to professional standards of conduct and uphold confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Additional certifications or training in first aid, CPR, or emergency response.
  2. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures governing armed security operations.
  3. OC spray certification, Baton, certification, Taser certification.
