Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following and other duties may be assigned: Perform entrance control: Enforce the District's entry and identification system which includes operating security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items, checking items such as handbags, briefcases, computers, packages, baby carriages, wheelchairs, etc. Perform roving patrol: Patrol court facilities and grounds of the facility in accordance with applicable post orders. Perform stationary post assignments: Stand guard at stationary posts which include (but not limited to) monitoring closed-circuit television, duress alarm systems and other security equipment, courtrooms, judge chambers, and jury rooms. Perform escort duties: When directed, provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and other designated individuals. Perform garage parking and pedestrian control: Where applicable, direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties, as described in the post orders and/or standard operating procedures. Enforce law and order: Enforce federal law while in the performance of assigned duties. This includes (but not limited to) detaining any person attempting to gain unauthorized access to Government property, or a court proceeding(s), or attempting to commit acts that imperil the safety and security of Government employees, property, and the public. Prepare reports and records: Prepare various reports and records regarding contract performance issues, such as labor hours worked, accidents, fire, bomb threats, unusual incidents, or unlawful acts that occurred within the court facility area. Court attendance: Responsible for securing unattended courtrooms, an inspection of courtrooms prior to a proceeding, testing of security devices, and other duties concerning security of the court area. Preserve order: Responsible for providing security presence in the courtroom, enforcing federal law and judicial orders within the courtroom, enforcing local court rules regarding prohibited items, and providing protection to court proceedings as circumstances dictate. Requirements Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency (Master-at-Arms, CGPD, Security Forces Specialist, etc.); all three (3) years must have occurred within the last seven (7) years. The experience must have included general arrest authority. Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess the ability to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license from state of residency and a safe driving record for the past five years; Must receive clearance from the Department of Justice. Must have completed or graduated from certified Federal, state, county, local or military law enforcement training academy and able to provide certification as proof. Other Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age; Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions to ensure the availability and security of critical defense systems. You'll be a vital part of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle, contributing to accreditation packages, supporting system development, and ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity standards. Responsibilities: Security Implementation: Design, implement, and manage security solutions for Kubernetes (OpenShift) and DoD cloud environments, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and encryption mechanisms. Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications. Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans for Kubernetes (OpenShift) and DoD cloud environments. Monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts to detect and respond to potential security incidents. Risk Management: Manage the risk management cycle for Kubernetes (OpenShift) and DoD cloud environments, coordinating with project teams to track risks, accreditation status, and reporting. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP), Security Test Plans (STP), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and other required artifacts. Compliance: Ensure Kubernetes (OpenShift) and DoD cloud environments adhere to relevant security standards and regulations, such as NIST 800-53, DoD 8500 series, and other industry-specific frameworks. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security into all phases of the development lifecycle. Provide expert-level security guidance and support to engineering teams. Testing and Evaluation: Perform Test and Evaluation (T&E); interview system SMEs; validate physical controls; review HW/SW lists; assess topology and TPPS. Additionally, document and provide on-site assessments. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies related to Kubernetes and container orchestration. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the security posture of Kubernetes (OpenShift) and DoD cloud environments. Qualifications: Required: Active DOD Top Secret/SCI + Poly security clearance. Minimum 5 years of direct experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF), Joint SAP Implementation Guide, or ICD 503 processes. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools, STIG compliance, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and security event information management (SIEM). Knowledge in Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, or Bash. 3 years administering Kubernetes (OpenShift) and/or DoD cloud environments Desired: Prior DoD cybersecurity engineering experience. Familiarity with enclave and mission system architectures. Strong communication skills and ability to interface with program managers, developers, and system administrators. Job Description

Walden Security is currently recruiting experienced Court Security Officers. CSOs will provide armed security to courthouses under the USMS contract.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following and other duties may be assigned:

Perform entrance control: Enforce the District's entry and identification system which includes operating security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items, checking items such as handbags, briefcases, computers, packages, baby carriages, wheelchairs, etc.

Perform roving patrol: Patrol court facilities and grounds of the facility in accordance with applicable post orders.

Perform stationary post assignments: Stand guard at stationary posts which include (but not limited to) monitoring closed-circuit television, duress alarm systems and other security equipment, courtrooms, judge chambers, and jury rooms.

Perform escort duties: When directed, provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and other designated individuals.

Perform garage parking and pedestrian control: Where applicable, direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties, as described in the post orders and/or standard operating procedures.

Enforce law and order: Enforce federal law while in the performance of assigned duties. This includes (but not limited to) detaining any person attempting to gain unauthorized access to Government property, or a court proceeding(s), or attempting to commit acts that imperil the safety and security of Government employees, property, and the public.

Prepare reports and records: Prepare various reports and records regarding contract performance issues, such as labor hours worked, accidents, fire, bomb threats, unusual incidents, or unlawful acts that occurred within the court facility area.

Court attendance: Responsible for securing unattended courtrooms, an inspection of courtrooms prior to a proceeding, testing of security devices, and other duties concerning security of the court area.

Preserve order: Responsible for providing security presence in the courtroom, enforcing federal law and judicial orders within the courtroom, enforcing local court rules regarding prohibited items, and providing protection to court proceedings as circumstances dictate.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency (Master-at-Arms, CGPD, Security Forces Specialist, etc.); all three (3) years must have occurred within the last seven (7) years. The experience must have included general arrest authority.

Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess the ability to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license from state of residency and a safe driving record for the past five years; Must receive clearance from the Department of Justice. Must have completed or graduated from certified Federal, state, county, local or military law enforcement training academy and able to provide certification as proof.

Other Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age; Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
