Job Summary The FSO oversees the operations of classified facilities and ensures the implementation of operative security controls intended for the protection of unclassified and classified national security information (NSI) developed by or entrusted to MSS as a member of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). The department applies resources to mitigate risk across operational domains through a continuum of security administration standards, control strategies, and oversight levels that align with corporate needs and expectations. This position's internal job code is Industrial Security Spec. Our team is currently hiring for levels 4-5. Responsibilities Administer day-to-day security operations of the Industrial Security program with support from Corporate management, implementing a security program that enables the business while complying with Government regulations Conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support government customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements Develop, maintain, and update company policies and procedures according to 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DD254s, and contract requirements Maintain facility clearance status in NISS and work with DCSA on required program and personnel documentation (KMP, self-inspections, SEAD 3 Reporting, etc.) Manage Physical Security of multiple local facilities in compliance with DCSA and ICD 705 requirements Assist with the Personnel Security program and administer security clearances/access processes for new/existing employees, subcontractors, and consultants. Maintain hard/soft copies of DD Form 254 along with personnel assigned to contract prior to indoctrination. Ensure properly executed DD Form 254s and proper DD 254 tracking Update Millennium Space Systems Standard Practices and Procedures (SPP) artifact, as necessary Assume the role of Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO), leading the Insider Threat Team in collaboration with key stakeholders Craft, provide and track security trainings and briefings for all cleared and uncleared personnel IAW 32 CFR Part 117 Minimum Qualifications This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Pre-Start is . 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities - implementation of a security program that enables the business while complying with Government regulations Professional experience conducting industrial security operations for the US DoD or US Intelligence Community Experience as a certified FSO Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM, ICDs, associated Executive Orders, and Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs) Significant experience with the DISS/NBIS, NISS, SWFT, eQIP/eAPP Knowledge of OPSEC procedures and application of OPSEC to Sensitive Government information (FOUO, CUI) Completion of STEPP Facility Security Officer Program Management for Possessing Facilities training. Experience in creation of and conducting of initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post-foreign travel briefings and refresher briefings Ability to communicate policy and procedures clearly to all cleared staff Ability to juggle competing priorities and demands Able to meet timelines and prioritize demands effectively Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Relevant professional memberships (NCMS, ISWG, etc.) Experience implementing and utilizing SIMS software Experience with supporting special access programs for various Government agencies Professional experience as a CSSO or CPSO Experience interfacing with corporate and government leadership Summary Pay-Range Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Key responsibilities   Working as part of the Security Architecture & Engineering team, assisting with ongoing, hands-on configuration and management of current and future network security technologies specifically related to Secure Web Gateway (SWG) and Remote Application/Service Access (ZTNA). Building, implementing, and maintaining all network security solutions and technologies. Assisting with the design and implementation of security monitoring solutions such as SIEM and other tools. Designing and implementing network security on Azure cloud and on-premises environments. Developing technical solutions and security tools to help mitigate network security vulnerabilities. Assessing and identifying security risks in the network and implementing the remediation. Auditing, managing, and maintaining network security solutions such as Palo Alto, Zscaler, Layer-7 network security protection solutions, and network access control. Administering perimeter security systems such as firewalls, load-balancers, NAC, WAF, etc. Providing recommendations and best practices to protect corporate networks and site-located networks. Conducting proactive research and analysis to identify security weaknesses. Documenting and designing network diagrams for existing and future network architecture. Recommending and implementing strategic and tactical changes to network infrastructure. Requirements Core strengths   Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related discipline, or equivalent training. 5+ years of related work experience in a network security role. Technical expertise in Azure networking and cloud security solutions. Strong knowledge and understanding of secure network architecture, protocols, routing, switching, and wireless. Deep knowledge in network traffic packet analysis. Expertise with threat detection and response tools and automation. Ability to stay positive and adapt quickly to changing business models, project requirements, and technologies. Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions. Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including firewall (Palo Alto, etc.). Public Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong understanding of current network security issues and threats and how they can be manifested in complex environments, such as understanding of network fundamentals and common Internet protocols (Ethernet, ARP, IP, ICMP, UDP, TCP, SSL, HTTP, DNS, BGP). Strong communication, consultative, influencing, and presentation skills.
