The SOS position is comprised of shift work (off hours to include weekends and holidays) and is responsible for general security operations at the local data center to include physical security applications and systems and devices; conducts day-to-day activities involving access control administration, including access badge processing of employee, contractor, visitor control; conducts inspections and inventories audits security devices and assets; daily visitor log maintenance; managing assigned tickets; reporting security device faults; reporting of security incidents; and the escalation of critical events: activate remote access, independently make security related decisions; assist security operations in emergency situations and backfill duties of other SOS when needed temporarily to meet coverage requirements. Supervisory Responsibilities SOS position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role. The Manager, Security Technical Support, must uphold operational excellence while delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout all support activities. Technical Leadership The Manager, Security Technical Support, is responsible for leading a team that provides comprehensive support for a wide range of Asset Protection services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background across all supported solution offerings, which include, but are not limited to: Access Control, Business Intelligence solutions, CCTV/VMS (IP and analog), Intrusion and Fire Alarm systems, and Two-Way Audio technologies. Experience utilizing Microsoft Office software tools, with ability to type quickly and accurately (at least 20 wpm, ideally 30+ wpm). Scheduling Requirements Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. The Security Technical Support Team operates seven days per week from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM Central Time; must be available to provide leadership and support during these hours as needed. Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Lead Security Technician to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to quality in all assigned tasks.
  • Perform installation of high-security field devices and ensure proper setup, calibration, and functionality.
  • Complete field wiring, terminations, and testing in accordance with company standards and project specifications.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot headend equipment, ensuring seamless integration with field components.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and customer site requirements.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, project managers, and team members to meet deadlines and maintain customer satisfaction. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in installation and/or service of security and low-voltage systems
  • Expertise with field wiring, terminations, and headend equipment setup
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work from blueprints or wiring diagrams
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in high-security environments
  • Must possess or be able to obtain necessary background clearances for secure facilities
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
