Who You Are: Galaxy is seeking a Security Automation Developer to streamline Galaxy secure SDLC process, administer application security tooling, and implement dashboards and key performance indicators for the Product Security team. You'll join a collaborative team of product and offensive security engineers who tackle complex technical challenges and align closely with Galaxy's business objectives. This role reports directly to the Director of Product Security and interfaces closely with Engineering, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams. What You’ll Do: Automate the integration of application security tools within CI/CD pipelines and broader SDLC processes Current tooling includes Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Software Composition Analysis (SCA), with plans for Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) implementation in 2025. Administer our AppSec tooling: manage and configure to reduce false positives and enhance accuracy. Provide comprehensive support and documentation of AppSec tooling to encourage adoption among engineering teams. Develop dashboards and KPIs to clearly visualize security activities, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity risks for individual departments or teams. Aggregate and analyze data from vulnerability management and asset inventory systems. Leverage AI-driven tools for efficient data analysis and qualitative risk assessment. Deepen expertise in Galaxy’s CI/CD architecture to optimize security integrations. Assist in security assessments of CI/CD and proactively suggest architecture improvements. Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a similar technical field is required. A Master's degree or higher education is preferred. Extensive experience in the design and development of cybersecurity methodologies and compliance with security standards. Integration/porting experience in Hardware Security Modules. Strong Linux fundamentals. Proficiency in one or more programming languages (C/C++, etc.). Knowledge of network concepts including TCP/IP protocol stack, HTTP and TLS, DDoS detection/prevention, and intrusion detection and prevention. Experience in an Agile development environment. Who You Are:


Galaxy is seeking a Security Automation Developer to streamline Galaxy secure SDLC process, administer application security tooling, and implement dashboards and key performance indicators for the Product Security team. You'll join a collaborative team of product and offensive security engineers who tackle complex technical challenges and align closely with Galaxy's business objectives. This role reports directly to the Director of Product Security and interfaces closely with Engineering, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams.


What You’ll Do:



  • Automate the integration of application security tools within CI/CD pipelines and broader SDLC processes

  • Current tooling includes Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Software Composition Analysis (SCA), with plans for Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) implementation in 2025.

  • Administer our AppSec tooling: manage and configure to reduce false positives and enhance accuracy.

  • Provide comprehensive support and documentation of AppSec tooling to encourage adoption among engineering teams.

  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to clearly visualize security activities, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity risks for individual departments or teams.

  • Aggregate and analyze data from vulnerability management and asset inventory systems.

  • Leverage AI-driven tools for efficient data analysis and qualitative risk assessment.

  • Deepen expertise in Galaxy’s CI/CD architecture to optimize security integrations.

  • Assist in security assessments of CI/CD and proactively suggest architecture improvements.


What We’re Looking For:



  • Bachelor or post-graduate diploma in cybersecurity or technology

  • 2-4 years work experience in cybersecurity, software development, or DevSecOps

  • Proficiency in scripting or object programming languages

  • Experience with SDLC processes and secure coding practices

  • Experience or strong interest in SAST, SCA tools (e.g. SonarQube, Checkmarx, Snyk, Veracode)

  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of independent problem-solving.

  • Very good verbal and written communication skills, collaborative and solution-driven

  • Security or cloud certifications

The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with candidate experience, expertise and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise. At Galaxy, we maintain a total compensation philosophy which consists of a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and equity incentives.
