Role Summary: MetaPhase is seeking a Systems and Network Security Engineer to support a high-impact federal engagement. This individual will lead the design, maintenance, and performance of secure and scalable IT network infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing routers, switches, firewalls, and virtual environments, along with hands-on expertise in monitoring tools, user behavior analytics, and OSI-layer troubleshooting. The Part Time Event Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of ASM Global Oakland patrons, employees, and assets. (Non-Exempt /Hourly/ Union - Starting at $21.00 per hour.) Searches guests and their personal belongings using walk through metal detectors, hand wands, pat down searches and bag checks. Checks credentials and tickets for access into restricted areas. - Support secure virtual environments and cloud-hosted systems in alignment with federal IT policies
- Troubleshoot and optimize network components within the first four layers of the OSI model
- Analyze and respond to sources of disruption, ensuring high availability and continuity of service
- Design and maintain MPLS-VPN VRF routing environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure systems meet mission and security objectives
What We Need From You (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience managing routers, switches, and firewalls
- Demonstrated ability to manage and troubleshoot infrastructure at OSI layers 1–4
- Experience implementing and supporting User Activity Monitoring and User Event Behavior Analysis tools/platforms
- Proven capability in managing virtualized infrastructure environments
- Experience identifying, managing, and mitigating operational disruptions
- Functional knowledge of MPLS-VPN VRF routing and forwarding
- U.S. Citizenship required; Must hold an active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
