HDR is currently seeing an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our East Region Design Center in Atlanta, GA. This person will be an integral part of our team with an opportunity to work with talented staff and to be a part of one of the fastest growing and most critical segments of HDR. This person will be responsible for creating electrical drawings for various types of facilities that fall under a variety of markets including Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, Power, and Federal. The electrical drawings will include different systems, such as power distribution, lighting, communications, and security. They will be expected to support, coordinate and work closely with multidiscipline design teams. They will be responsible for performing basic electrical calculations and design for layout plans and power one-line diagrams, and will assist Project Engineers, other Electrical EITs or BIM Specialists as needed. This individual should be self-motivated and collaborative with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound electrical designs. HDR is currently seeing an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our East Region Design Center in Atlanta, GA. This person will be an integral part of our team with an opportunity to work with talented staff and to be a part of one of the fastest growing and most critical segments of HDR.

This person will be responsible for creating electrical drawings for various types of facilities that fall under a variety of markets including Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, Power, and Federal. The electrical drawings will include different systems, such as power distribution, lighting, communications, and security. They will be expected to support, coordinate and work closely with multidiscipline design teams. They will be responsible for performing basic electrical calculations and design for layout plans and power one-line diagrams, and will assist Project Engineers, other Electrical EITs or BIM Specialists as needed. This individual should be self-motivated and collaborative with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound electrical designs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate Electrical Engineering program
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0 GPA
  • Good proficiency with Revit
  • Related field or office work experience
  • Preference given to local candidates
