Operational Excellence o Oversee the design, approval, and implementation of complex installation plans, schematics, and systems integrations. o Ensure adherence to safety regulations, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance requirements across all regions. o Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging KPIs, analytics, and feedback loops to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Program & Financial Management o Direct multimillion-dollar budgets, ensuring global resources are allocated strategically for maximum ROI. o Oversee procurement strategies for equipment and services, leveraging global vendor relationships for cost and performance benefits. o Approve and monitor project schedules, ensuring all deployments meet or exceed quality, cost, and time objectives. Innovation & Industry Leadership o Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies in server rack design, cooling, power distribution, and automation. o Lead the adoption of advanced tools and methodologies to improve speed, scalability, and sustainability of deployments. o Represent the company at global industry events, speaking engagements, and technical forums. Qualifications: Education & Experience o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree or MBA strongly preferred. o 15+ years of progressive experience in large-scale server rack installation, integration, and lifecycle management, including 7+ years in a senior leadership role with global or multi-regional scope. o Proven track record of delivering complex, high-value projects for enterprise clients and hyperscale data centers. Technical Expertise o Deep understanding of server rack hardware, network architecture, power and cooling systems, and integration methodologies. o Familiarity with emerging data center technologies, including liquid cooling, high-density computing, and AI hardware integration. Proactively identify improvement opportunities and effectively communicate insights to XOS Leadership in a way that good business decisions can be made. Provide leadership, guidance, and development to foster a culture of continuous improvement while prioritizing reactive versus proactive activities. Effectively manage organizational change by identifying potential challenges, developing strategies to overcome resistance, and ensuring the successful implementation of change initiatives. The essential requirements of the job include: BS Degree in STEM field required or equivalent of 8 years of directly relevant experience. Master in Business Administration or applicable Masters Degree preferred. 3-5 years of direct management experience preferred, specifically with managing Engineering or Process Improvement roles. 5 years of experience in roles related to continuous improvement and lean methodologies within a manufacturing or operational environment preferred. Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methodologies preferred. Experience with X-ray, high voltage, and advanced analytical equipment is strongly preferred. Experience with XRF or atomic spectroscopy equipment is strongly preferred. Travel 10% for customer VOC, trade shows, conferences, trainings, and business meetings. Job Summary:

The Director, Global Solution Engineering (Onsite Data Center Deployment) is responsible for leading and directing the worldwide installation, configuration, and lifecycle maintenance of server rack solutions across diverse client environments. This executive role oversees a global team of senior engineers, solution architects, and technical managers, ensuring operational excellence, adherence to industry best practices, and alignment with corporate strategy. The Director partners with global clients and internal executives to define technical roadmaps, drive innovative deployment methodologies, and ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Global Strategic Leadership

o Define and execute the global strategy for server rack installation, integration, and maintenance across all regions.

o Establish standardized deployment frameworks and best practices to ensure consistent quality worldwide.

o Represent the solution engineering function at the executive level, providing thought leadership on emerging trends, technologies, and operational models.

  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement

o Partner with C-level client stakeholders to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.

o Build and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic accounts and alliance partners.

o Serve as a key escalation point for high-impact issues, ensuring rapid resolution and client satisfaction.

  • Team Leadership & Talent Development

o Lead a global team of senior managers, engineers, and project leaders; define organizational structure, succession plans, and career development paths.

o Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and collaboration across geographies.

o Oversee training and certification programs to ensure all global teams remain at the forefront of technology and compliance standards.

  • Operational Excellence

o Oversee the design, approval, and implementation of complex installation plans, schematics, and systems integrations.

o Ensure adherence to safety regulations, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance requirements across all regions.

o Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging KPIs, analytics, and feedback loops to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Program & Financial Management

o Direct multimillion-dollar budgets, ensuring global resources are allocated strategically for maximum ROI.

o Oversee procurement strategies for equipment and services, leveraging global vendor relationships for cost and performance benefits.

o Approve and monitor project schedules, ensuring all deployments meet or exceed quality, cost, and time objectives.

  • Innovation & Industry Leadership

o Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies in server rack design, cooling, power distribution, and automation.

o Lead the adoption of advanced tools and methodologies to improve speed, scalability, and sustainability of deployments.

o Represent the company at global industry events, speaking engagements, and technical forums.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience

o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree or MBA strongly preferred.

o 15+ years of progressive experience in large-scale server rack installation, integration, and lifecycle management, including 7+ years in a senior leadership role with global or multi-regional scope.

o Proven track record of delivering complex, high-value projects for enterprise clients and hyperscale data centers.

  • Technical Expertise

o Deep understanding of server rack hardware, network architecture, power and cooling systems, and integration methodologies.

o Familiarity with emerging data center technologies, including liquid cooling, high-density computing, and AI hardware integration.

  • Leadership & Business Acumen

o Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead global, cross-functional teams.

o Strong financial management capabilities, including budget ownership and cost-optimization strategies.

o Demonstrated ability to drive organizational transformation and operational scalability.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management

o Excellent executive communication skills, capable of influencing at the C-suite level.

o Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and build long-term strategic relationships.

  • Other Requirements

o Willingness and ability to travel internationally 25-50% of the time.

o Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

Salary Range

$204,000 - $217,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
