Job Description

This is an opportunity for engineering students to gain real-world experience while working at a world-class electrical motor manufacturer. Support design, development, and testing of various brushed and brushless DC motors, stepper motor-based linear actuators, drives, and complete custom automation sub-systems. The ideal candidate will enjoy solving challenging technical problems by applying engineering principles learned in the classroom, and by collaborating with experienced engineers, technicians, and various departments, and will have a desire to grow their 3D CAD and simulation capabilities.

What you will do:

  • Work with engineers to design, test, document, and validate new products
  • Build, document, and validate the electro-mechanical performance of motors, drives, and circuitry
  • Alleviate design issues and/or improve designs through the engineering change procedure
  • Execute tests, analyze data, and generate technical reports to inform management
  • Create CAD models, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks
  • Learn to run electromagnetic, thermal, and/or stress simulations in ANSYS
  • Design test and assembly fixtures to aid manufacturing of product

What we are looking for:
