Minimum Qualifications: Minimum B.S. in Welding Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 5+ years directly related welding and joining experience. Experience with at least one of the following processes: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Orbital Tube Welding (OTW), Laser Beam Welding (LBW), Laser Cladding, and/or Vacuum Brazing. Proven experience developing and executing test plans for analysis and qualification of welding/joining processes. Experience with implementing welding automation and/or mechanization. Familiarity with standard methods of manufacturing, such as machining and inspections. Experience interpreting NDT/NDE results (such as UT, RT, PT). Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. The Engineering Technician II/Sr is responsible for providing technical guidance and focus while working hand in hand with EQT Team Members and External Business Partners. This position will work closely with our water infrastructure department to drive operational success through technical excellence in engineering designs, processes, and procedures. This position will provide the opportunity of growth and development through mentorship provided by the experience of a diverse engineering department.

The Engineering Technician II/Sr responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Project Milestone Updates / Project Planning (Team Internal and External)
  • Preventative Maintenance Data Collection and Alignment.
  • GIS Alignment for all Water Infrastructure.
  • Operations (Production / Water) Planning Team Interface.
  • Plan to Pay Management and Coordination.
  • Document Control Program Coordinator.
  • Equipment Management / Tracking / Identification.
  • Specification & Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Maintenance and Coordination.
  • Environmental Health and Safety Data Collection.
  • Management of Change (MOC) Program Data Management.
  • Asset Integrity Program Data Management.
  • Vendor Compliance Team Lead.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical / Chemical / Petroleum) is preferred or at least 3-5 years of related experience in the industry.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite to include use of queries / Pivot Tables / VLookup coupled with a basic understanding of Smartsheet / Power Bi / Coding Languages (R / SQL / Python)
  • Understanding of process flow & equipment used for separation of fluids in common oil and gas production.
  • Basic understanding of ASME & ANSI specs and standards.
  • Interpersonal skills is a must - will be working with a variety of different personalities on the team.
  • Extreme ownership mentality.
  • Able to take complex workflows/ideas and communicate them concisely to achieve results.
  • Self-starter / team player.
  • Able to work independently as needed and solve basic problems with no guidance.
  • Comfortable with working behind a computer for a majority of the workday.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in the oil and gas industry (at least 3-5 years if not degreed)
