Who are we looking for? The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering and maintenance teams at our Itasca, IL facility. This role is responsible for providing process, maintenance, and engineering support to our specialty chemical manufacturing operations. The Engineering Manager reports directly to the Operations Director and supervises engineers and maintenance technicians. What will you be doing? This role ensures all project work is completed safely, efficiently, and on time while managing multiple projects, driving process automation, and overseeing CAPEX initiatives from planning to completion within budget. Responsibilities include leading maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment issues, improving operational efficiency through Lean and Six Sigma methods, and coordinating cross-functional projects for new products, upgrades, and process improvements. The position also serves as the site's Responsible Electrician and ATEX safety lead, maintains accurate technical documentation, manages contractors and budgets, participates in safety and emergency response programs, and fosters a strong culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across production, logistics, and administrative facilities. Who are You? 5 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. At least 10 years of managerial experience is required. Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Master's degree preferred. Familiarity with engineering standards and ability to read P&ID, mechanical, and electrical drawings. Knowledge of extrusion, punching, stamping, milling, rolling, and spooling processes. Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing operations, quality control systems, and Lean manufacturing principles. In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including hands-on experience with industrial equipment and automation technologies. Who are we looking for?

The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering and maintenance teams at our Itasca, IL facility. This role is responsible for providing process, maintenance, and engineering support to our specialty chemical manufacturing operations. The Engineering Manager reports directly to the Operations Director and supervises engineers and maintenance technicians.

What will you be doing?

This role ensures all project work is completed safely, efficiently, and on time while managing multiple projects, driving process automation, and overseeing CAPEX initiatives from planning to completion within budget. Responsibilities include leading maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment issues, improving operational efficiency through Lean and Six Sigma methods, and coordinating cross-functional projects for new products, upgrades, and process improvements. The position also serves as the site's Responsible Electrician and ATEX safety lead, maintains accurate technical documentation, manages contractors and budgets, participates in safety and emergency response programs, and fosters a strong culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across production, logistics, and administrative facilities.

Who are You?

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 10 years of managerial experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards and ability to read P&ID, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of extrusion, punching, stamping, milling, rolling, and spooling processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing operations, quality control systems, and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including hands-on experience with industrial equipment and automation technologies.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and proficiency in maintenance management software.
