Job Overview:

This VP Principal, Engineering Lead position will provide technical leadership while collaborating with Business and Product teams on the vision-setting through to the implementation of the next level of our advisor digital platform. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of deep customization, scalability, and a streamlined experience for LPL advisors and LPL-affiliated institutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience leading multiple development teams across various value streams providing nurturing leadership and talent development efforts for successful project delivery, application, and platform support.

  • Build cross-functional rapport with other leaders in the Technology and Product organizations for help navigating through dependencies, risk mitigation and triage of issues to resolution.

  • Act as a mentor and lead on a cross-functional team that includes business analysis, and engineering.

  • Ensure all engineering designs and model architecture align with enterprise standards.

  • Work across business, product and technical teams to deliver solutions that drive commercial impact.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years of professional SDLC experience in a diverse set of technology disciplines

  • Minimum of 10 years in a principal engineering lead capacity in an enterprise working with a high-performing technical team

  • Minimum of 5 years of financial services/brokerage firm experience

  • Minimum of 4 years working with anddirectly leading delivery andarchitecture for remote teams (onshore & offshore), including vendor relationships

  • Experiece with object-oriented Principles in a common OOP language framework such as C# / .Net

Techical Competencies:

  • Experience with application architecture and solution design

  • Develpment exposure with UI/UX design

  • Have a deep, hands-on understanding of cloud architecture and design, with an emphasis on secure, distributed hybrid cloud platforms.

  • Strong understanding of large databases/data warehouses and data architecture

  • Have a deep understanding of API design, the difference between platform design and application design, and the tooling to create modern APIs

  • Ability to clearly explain engineering concepts to business users and articulate how they impact solutions.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  • AWS Professional Architect certification is highly desirable

$155,288-$258,813/yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
