Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Team Lead, Software Engineer to join our Cloud Deployments team. In this role, you will lead a new team dedicated to deepening and expanding our integration with major cloud providers, ensuring seamless, native, and scalable deployment of our AI products (AI Studio, APIs, SDKs, etc.) within their ecosystems. You will work closely with hyperscalers engineering teams, internal stakeholders (science, product, program management), and external partners to define standards, build integrations, and automate deployment workflows. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape how Mistral's technology is adopted globally and influence cloud providers' roadmaps. What you will do Lead Cloud Provider Integrations: Drive the technical strategy and execution for integrating Mistral's products (AI Studio, APIs, SDKs) natively into cloud provider ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.), starting with Azure. Build a Factory for Scalable Integrations: Develop a repeatable, automated framework to onboard new cloud providers quickly, reducing friction for both customers and internal teams. Collaborate with Hyperscalers: Partner with cloud providers' engineering teams to define interfaces, standards, and best practices for AI model deployment and integration. Enable Smooth Customer Onboarding: Ensure customers can onboard Mistral's AI Studio suite directly from cloud providers' platforms, with a focus on simplicity, reliability, and performance. Cross-functional Leadership: Work with internal teams (Deployment Platform, Product Engineering, Solutions Architecture) and external stakeholders to align on roadmaps, timelines, and technical trade-offs. Automate and Optimize: Build tooling and processes to automate packaging, deployment, and monitoring of Mistral's products across cloud environments, reducing cognitive load for Product Engineering teams. Technical Advocacy: Represent Mistral in technical discussions with cloud providers, influencing their roadmaps and ensuring our products are optimized for their platforms. Team Building: Grow and mentor a high-performing team of 5-6 engineers, fostering a culture of platform thinking, automation, and collaboration. About you 7+ years of relevant professional experience, with a track record of leading technical teams in complex infrastructure environments. 2+ years of experience managing and leading teams with a proven ability to build teams, set roadmaps, and align objectives with business goals. Strong proficiency in backend development (Python ideally, or Go, Kotlin, Scala, Java, etc.,) and experience with complex, distributed systems. Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead, Software Engineer to join our Cloud Deployments team. In this role, you will lead a new team dedicated to deepening and expanding our integration with major cloud providers, ensuring seamless, native, and scalable deployment of our AI products (AI Studio, APIs, SDKs, etc.) within their ecosystems. You will work closely with hyperscalers engineering teams, internal stakeholders (science, product, program management), and external partners to define standards, build integrations, and automate deployment workflows. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape how Mistral's technology is adopted globally and influence cloud providers' roadmaps.

What you will do

  • Lead Cloud Provider Integrations: Drive the technical strategy and execution for integrating Mistral's products (AI Studio, APIs, SDKs) natively into cloud provider ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.), starting with Azure.
  • Build a Factory for Scalable Integrations: Develop a repeatable, automated framework to onboard new cloud providers quickly, reducing friction for both customers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with Hyperscalers: Partner with cloud providers' engineering teams to define interfaces, standards, and best practices for AI model deployment and integration.
  • Enable Smooth Customer Onboarding: Ensure customers can onboard Mistral's AI Studio suite directly from cloud providers' platforms, with a focus on simplicity, reliability, and performance.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Work with internal teams (Deployment Platform, Product Engineering, Solutions Architecture) and external stakeholders to align on roadmaps, timelines, and technical trade-offs.
  • Automate and Optimize: Build tooling and processes to automate packaging, deployment, and monitoring of Mistral's products across cloud environments, reducing cognitive load for Product Engineering teams.
  • Technical Advocacy: Represent Mistral in technical discussions with cloud providers, influencing their roadmaps and ensuring our products are optimized for their platforms.
  • Team Building: Grow and mentor a high-performing team of 5-6 engineers, fostering a culture of platform thinking, automation, and collaboration.

About you

  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience, with a track record of leading technical teams in complex infrastructure environments.
  • 2+ years of experience managing and leading teams with a proven ability to build teams, set roadmaps, and align objectives with business goals.
  • Strong proficiency in backend development (Python ideally, or Go, Kotlin, Scala, Java, etc.,) and experience with complex, distributed systems.
