Job Description

Astrodyne TDI, a global leader in the power solutions industry, is on the hunt for an Engineering Technician to join our dynamic Power BU team. If you thrive in team settings, possess a positive can-do attitude, and have a knack for problem-solving, we want you on board!

What You'll Be Doing:

As an integral part of our engineering team, you'll dive into the heart of power electronic systems, working side-by-side with our seasoned mechanical and electrical engineers. Your day-to-day will be filled with exciting challenges, from assembling cutting-edge power electronic systems and prototypes to getting hands-on with PCB and component level work using a variety of electronic lab instruments.

But that's not all. You'll also:

  • Assist in crafting and executing test plans for our innovative switching mode power supplies.
  • Design and implement test setups.
  • Execute validation testing to ensure that electrical parameters, firmware performance and mechanical functionality meet product specification and required standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to troubleshoot and resolve developmental hurdles, ensuring our designs are not just innovative but practical.
  • Play a key role in identifying potential failure trends, setting up test environments, and conducting rigorous design verification tests.
  • Generate detailed test reports, contribute to EMC baseline testing, and liaise with external labs for compliance testing.
  • Support our New Product Introduction and Operations teams in transitioning our pioneering products to production stages.

Qualifications:

Who We're Looking For:

  • Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology, Electrical Engineering Degree or a related field is a big plus.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Electronics, with a sound understanding
  • Proficiency in using electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscopes and Multimeters, coupled with mechanical expertise.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, identify power electronics topologies, and troubleshoot effectively.

Salary Range: 30/hr
