Group/Division With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel, China, India, and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs, but also subject matter expertise, best practices, roadmaps, specialized facilities, apparatus, models, and analytics. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications Responsibilities: An intern with the AI and Modeling Center of excellence will work in one or more of the following areas. Interns will be technically supported and mentored throughout their stay with KLA. In this role: Work with traditional and deep learning algorithm techniques to meet and improve results on KLA products. Experiment with new and novel techniques to improve results or reduce compute cost of various modeling techniques. Build tools for more efficient experimentation. Manage data used for training and experimentation of AI and physics modeling systems. Developing software tools and solutions for KLA products. Qualifications: Students working towards a PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field. Must have research projects or hands-on experience demonstrating use of Deep Learning OR Machine Learning OR Image Processing OR Computer Vision technologies. Minimum Qualifications Students working towards a PhD Level Degree. Demonstrated expertise in image processing and imaging optics. Strong background in physics, particularly as it applies to imaging systems. Hands-on experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments. Proficiency in CUDA programming. The Civil Engineering Project Manager will play a vital role in leading and delivering high-quality site design, planning, permitting, and oversight of construction for our clients, which include some of the top land development clients in the country. The projects will utilize a wide range of land development expertise, which will include the design of streets, roadways, sanitary sewer, watermains, storm drainage, stormwater BMPs, etc., throughout the greater Atlanta region. This position offers the chance to join a high-performing team and receive mentorship from senior staff and leadership while also mentoring junior engineers within the office and across the Civil Engineering practice. Primary Function Perform a variety of engineering tasks involving design work, research, and preparation of drawings and designs for site layout, horizontal utility projects (water, wastewater, stormwater), site grading, and drainage, including permitting and planning to serve both municipalities and private clients. Strong understanding of the environmental and land development regulatory framework and experience interacting with regulators and construction administration of public and private land development projects. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities:

An intern with the AI and Modeling Center of excellence will work in one or more of the following areas.  Interns will be technically supported and mentored throughout their stay with KLA. 

In this role:

  • Work with traditional and deep learning algorithm techniques to meet and improve results on KLA products.
  • Experiment with new and novel techniques to improve results or reduce compute cost of various modeling techniques.
  • Build tools for more efficient experimentation.
  • Manage data used for training and experimentation of AI and physics modeling systems.
  • Developing software tools and solutions for KLA products.

Qualifications:

  • Students working towards a PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
  • Must have research projects or hands-on experience demonstrating use of Deep Learning OR Machine Learning OR Image Processing OR Computer Vision technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Students working towards a PhD Level Degree.
  • Demonstrated expertise in image processing and imaging optics.
