OVERVIEW: The Healthcare Services API Strategy Management/Microservices Senior Director is an awesome opportunity to be on the frontlines evolving the way our organization builds and delivers software applications. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, relationship building, and ability to mobilize a large team towards multiple objectives while adjusting to accommodate emerging business opportunities. The successful candidate will be able to showcase engineering principles related to the technology stack (micro-services, event-based vs. real-time processing, data replication & reconciliation) and have a history of implementing complex programs. They need to demonstrate a pattern of partnering across multiple organizations to deliver robust solutions while balancing competing priorities. They must identify and champion opportunities to expand the platform while delivering date-driven business requirements to external and internal consumers. RESPONSIBILITIES: Key technology leader overseeing all aspects of design and delivery of Entity Platforms. Oversee technical aspects of implementing core components (data reconciliation, model extensions, data synchronization, big data pipelines, etc.). Drive consistent, reliable, and scalable solutions across the entire platform. Work closely with product owners, architecture, and peer software engineering organization to identify, design, and implement event-driven solutions. Lead a team of software engineering directors and principal engineers to establish and implement entity platform patterns. Attract, recruit, manage, develop, and retain talented team members, including hiring and growing employees as well as effective use of consultants. Guide and oversee staff in the development of program delivery strategies ensuring alignment with the supporting business cases as well as the associated enterprise-wide project plans and contingency plans. Approve and assist staff in formulating adjustments to project scope, timing, and budgets as needed by applying established best practices. Track and monitor the progress of key projects/programs and their associated milestones and execute adjustments as necessary. Be a trusted advisor and partner with key Business and Technology leaders. REQUIRED SKILLS: 8+ years of prior leadership experience, leading leaders necessary. Background in micro service architectures and platform transformations with a history of leading the execution and launch of high-profile initiatives. Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders to identify and champion KPIs that are vital to shift. Experience working in technology and with clients and business partners. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, relationship building, and ability to mobilize a large team towards multiple objectives while adjusting to accommodate emerging business opportunities. The successful candidate will be able to showcase engineering principles related to the technology stack (micro-services, event-based vs. real-time processing, data replication & reconciliation) and have a history of implementing complex programs. They need to demonstrate a pattern of partnering across multiple organizations to deliver robust solutions while balancing competing priorities. They must identify and champion opportunities to expand the platform while delivering date-driven business requirements to external and internal consumers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key technology leader overseeing all aspects of design and delivery of Entity Platforms.

  • Oversee technical aspects of implementing core components (data reconciliation, model extensions, data synchronization, big data pipelines, etc.).

  • Drive consistent, reliable, and scalable solutions across the entire platform.

  • Work closely with product owners, architecture, and peer software engineering organization to identify, design, and implement event-driven solutions.

  • Lead a team of software engineering directors and principal engineers to establish and implement entity platform patterns.

  • Attract, recruit, manage, develop, and retain talented team members, including hiring and growing employees as well as effective use of consultants.

  • Guide and oversee staff in the development of program delivery strategies ensuring alignment with the supporting business cases as well as the associated enterprise-wide project plans and contingency plans.

  • Approve and assist staff in formulating adjustments to project scope, timing, and budgets as needed by applying established best practices.

  • Track and monitor the progress of key projects/programs and their associated milestones and execute adjustments as necessary.

  • Be a trusted advisor and partner with key Business and Technology leaders.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 8+ years of prior leadership experience, leading leaders necessary.

  • Background in micro service architectures and platform transformations with a history of leading the execution and launch of high-profile initiatives.

  • Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders to identify and champion KPIs that are vital to shift.

  • Experience working in technology and with clients and business partners.
