Position Details: This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Math, Engineering and Physics Department and reports to the Department Chair. Responsibilities: This is a part-time faculty position. Expectations for this position include teaching two college level Engineering courses in the Spring Semester that are four credit hours each, Statics and Dynamics. Both of these courses are offered four days per week (Monday – Thursday) in an eight-week format. These courses could be taught in a hybrid format (partially face to face and partially on-line) and will require the use of instructional technology in and out of the classroom. Engineering faculty members teach and supervise all learning experiences and evaluate student performance in the classroom. Minimum Qualifications: A Master’s Degree or higher with a minimum of eighteen graduate hours in Engineering is required. Preference will be given to applicants with college teaching experience. Montana Technological University invites applications for a faculty position within the Electrical Engineering Department at the Assistant Professor level.  A PhD or ABD in EE or related field is required with expertise in power systems, control systems, signal processing.  All candidates must have the ability to obtain a PE or EIT license in the state of Montana.  The department offers the BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering.  Montana Tech is a special focus university with a reputation for excellence located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.  The department has a strong commitment to undergraduate education and maintains externally funded research programs in power systems and control systems.
