The Lead Specialist, QA - Validation & Quality Engineering is responsible for providing Quality oversight of Catalent’s Facilities, Engineering and Validation groups to ensure compliance with applicable US regulations, guidance's, industry standards and Catalent policies/procedures supporting the commercial GMP manufacturing of biological drug substance and drug product. This position will provide continuous improvement support to process, equipment, utilities and computer systems and serve as the key Quality resource for the Engineering, Facilities and Validation organizations. This is a full-time onsite position working Days; Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm. Interns will be exposed to the same operations but will also work on and present an engineering project for the second half of the summer. At the completion of the internship, students will have a better understanding of midstream fluid types, processing, and handling, the importance of volumes and pressures, and the path in which hydrocarbons move from production facilities to sales. This understanding will yield a distinct advantage in their Engineering classes. Junior level students and above will be eligible for an office internship working with one of our asset teams. Office interns conduct studies that will include Field Pressure optimizing for accommodating new volumes from producers on the system. This will include pipeline modeling, compressor optimization and facility modifications required to meet contractual obligations. Additional studies and modeling for new plant projects and optimization of existing plants may also be available for interns to conduct. The internship will include presentations throughout the summer to management for project approvals as needed. Past intern projects have included corrosion modeling, pipeline inline inspection, compressor optimization studies, Pipeline installation projects, Pump sizing and pipeline maintenance projects. Interns then oversee the approved project in the field if possible and time permits. Communicate effectively within the team, and exercise creative thinking skills. Managers will help assist the intern’s leadership development to better prepare executive summaries at the completion of the internship. Harvest will provide interns with professional development, operations experience, and executive exposure. Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation. Supports company vision and mission. Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings. Other duties as assigned by management. Position Summary:

Milacron is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Batavia, OH. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for working to solve technical problems and deliver engineering design solutions for Milacron’s large tonnage injection molding machines.

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Work You’ll Do:

  • Work to solve technical problems and deliver engineering solutions, including but not limited to modifications of sheet metal fabrications, structural fabrications, hydraulic piping applications, etc.
  • Convert customer requirements into design modifications of standard machine platform
  • Contribute to team goals and continuous improvement; later including to mentor and provide guidance to other newer associates
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, and other functional groups


Team:

The Mechanical Engineer will join a dedicated team of 5 engineers, specializing in design alterations of large tonnage injection molding machines, and reporting directly to the Lead Engineer.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related, or equivalent combination of education and design experience
  • Ability to successfully support multiple design cycles
  • Knowledge of machine safety/ANSI standards
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Plastics industry experience
  • Experience using Creo/PDM software or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of ERP tools, specifically E1
