The Technician will support senior lab technicians in testing parts/components, operating machine shop and laboratory equipment, and following appropriate engineering procedures, standards, and specifications. This role will also assist in the maintenance and upkeep of all laboratory equipment. The objective is to validate new product designs as part of new product development as well as resolve issues on sustaining products. The Technician is expected to provide exemplary support to the customers of Oshkosh Corporation. YOUR IMPACT These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned. Assist in the collaboration between engineers and technicians in testing of prototypes and current products. Assist engineers and senior technicians in the disassembly of complex parts and prepare for testing/analysis. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety procedures during all aspects of job performance which includes regular exposure to personal and physical hazards. Responsible for operating machine shop and laboratory equipment, as well as preventative maintenance. Assist senior technicians with maintaining laboratory stockroom materials and supplies. Job Description

The Technician will support senior lab technicians in testing parts/components, operating machine shop and laboratory equipment, and following appropriate engineering procedures, standards, and specifications. This role will also assist in the maintenance and upkeep of all laboratory equipment. The objective is to validate new product designs as part of new product development as well as resolve issues on sustaining products. The Technician is expected to provide exemplary support to the customers of Oshkosh Corporation.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist in the collaboration between engineers and technicians in testing of prototypes and current products.
  • Assist engineers and senior technicians in the disassembly of complex parts and prepare for testing/analysis.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety procedures during all aspects of job performance which includes regular exposure to personal and physical hazards.
  • Responsible for operating machine shop and laboratory equipment, as well as preventative maintenance.
  • Assist senior technicians with maintaining laboratory stockroom materials and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with others to understand and execute on given directions and instructions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical Diploma or equivalent*.
  • Ability to travel 10%.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of automotive and mechanical terms.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, government regulations and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast pace environment.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Pay Range:

$50,400.00 - $77,200.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
