We are seeking a Director, Manufacturing Test Engineering to join our team overseeing the design, development, and execution of manufacturing processes and test strategies for Echodyne's high-performance radar products. In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and sustained engineering of production test systems essential to our continued scaling up of our manufacturing operations. You will provide both technical and tactical leadership of a multi-disciplinary team across manufacturing, operations, and R&D to deliver high-quality systems that operate efficiently and deliver business success. RESPONSIBILITIES Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, including the development of robust test stations and fixtures, test software, test plans, and procedures Oversee the design, development, project management and deployment of test solutions for both subsystem and system-level products to support volume manufacturing Determine technical resource requirements to inform and enable management of the program Lead teams in resolving production issues related to DFMA, testing, including yield issues and technical failures encountered Assemble and lead a multi-disciplinary team, which may include design, test, and quality engineers Collaborate with the research and development (R&D) and design teams during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency Other related tasks required to fulfill the needs of the business REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Knowledge of testing equipment, automation systems, and robotics, including their installation, debugging, and maintenance Expertise in lean manufacturing principles, process improvement, and manufacturing technology selection Experience with test data management tools for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing test data to identify trends, diagnose issues, and optimize performance Familiarity with automated or semi-automated applications and platforms used to test product quality, functionality, and performance during the manufacturing process Experience with test automation infrastructure, including the ability to direct test automation teams that utilize programming languages such as Python DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE (In this role, you will build many of the skills listed below. The successful candidate will have experience in analog and digital embedded design, including both hardware (schematic capture and PCB layout) and firmware (C and ASM), preferably in consumer products or similar. This team member will participate in ideas on how to best use electronics to comply with marketing and engineering requirements and support overall development from conceptualization to implementation of new products. This engineer will be directly involved in the design and building of prototypes that will drive new products to expand and improve our costumer experience with Shark brand products. Duties & Responsibilities: Design analog and digital circuits including low noise analog circuits, A/D and D/A converters, microprocessors, communication interfaces, linear and switched-mode power supplies. Perform design, debugging, and board bring-up of analog and digital real-time embedded electronics for microprocess-based control and communication hardware platform using combination of simulation, analysis, prototyping and testing. We are seeking a Director, Manufacturing Test Engineering to join our team overseeing the design, development, and execution of manufacturing processes and test strategies for Echodyne's high-performance radar products.

In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and sustained engineering of production test systems essential to our continued scaling up of our manufacturing operations. You will provide both technical and tactical leadership of a multi-disciplinary team across manufacturing, operations, and R&D to deliver high-quality systems that operate efficiently and deliver business success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, including the development of robust test stations and fixtures, test software, test plans, and procedures
  • Oversee the design, development, project management and deployment of test solutions for both subsystem and system-level products to support volume manufacturing
  • Determine technical resource requirements to inform and enable management of the program
  • Lead teams in resolving production issues related to DFMA, testing, including yield issues and technical failures encountered
  • Assemble and lead a multi-disciplinary team, which may include design, test, and quality engineers
  • Collaborate with the research and development (R&D) and design teams during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency
  • Other related tasks required to fulfill the needs of the business

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of testing equipment, automation systems, and robotics, including their installation, debugging, and maintenance
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing principles, process improvement, and manufacturing technology selection
  • Experience with test data management tools for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing test data to identify trends, diagnose issues, and optimize performance
  • Familiarity with automated or semi-automated applications and platforms used to test product quality, functionality, and performance during the manufacturing process
  • Experience with test automation infrastructure, including the ability to direct test automation teams that utilize programming languages such as Python

DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

(In this role, you will build many of the skills listed below. Previous experience in one or more of these areas is preferred but not required.)

  • Experience with Radar and RF microwave technology, and RF measurement instruments preferred
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 integration of intelligent digital technologies into production and operations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS Degree or higher in an engineering discipline (e.g., electrical, mechanical, computer science) or industry/military equivalent experience demonstrating progressive leadership in manufacturing and test environments
  • 8 or more years of experience in manufacturing engineering roles, leading test development, managing budgets, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and project management expertise
