In this influential role, you will provide visionary leadership to the SRE team, advising senior management on project status and strategic issues. Responsibilities:

  • Instruct, assign, direct and review the work produced by team members to advise senior management regarding project status and issues

  • Provide estimates, timetables and project plans to Sr. Leadership team

  • Design and code complex infrastructure and operational environments using various technologies

  • Direct, run and deliver SRE projects through the application of comprehensive SDLC processes

  • Ensure the continuous health and reliability of the technical infrastructure, and the applications/services it supports, through monitoring metrics/Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and ensuring they meet or exceed Service Level Objectives (SLOs). Suggest operational process improvements

  • Evaluate complex client requirements and corresponding process requirements

  • Conduct analysis of needs and goals for the development and implementation of operational applications' systems. Perform operational review and suggest improvements

  • Perform security design review to address and remediate security vulnerabilities

  • Provide application operational support and help troubleshoot application infrastructure problems

  • Analyze results of non-functional testing sessions to ensure conformance to operational requirements

  • Translate functional requirements into technical requirements and lead technical discussions with the software engineering, architecture, and security teams

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with commercial service infrastructure at both a software and infrastructure level

  • 5+ years of experience managing an SRE team

  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, optional RHEL

  • Understanding of tier 3 architecture design and concepts

  • Experience automating processing using PowerShell scripting

  • Knowledge and management of software such as IIS, Cold Fusion, and Microsoft clustering technologies

  • Experience with change control and incident management processes

  • Experience working in both private cloud and public cloud environments (AWS/MS Azure)

  • Knowledge of Chef, Jenkins, Terraform

  • Experience in financial services industry preferred

  • You should have strong problem resolutions skills

  • Experience in Cross-functional Team Management

  • Experience driving multiple projects to ensure on-time completion

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Engineering (any) or in a related field plus 5+ years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation
