About the Program: Our 10-week summer internship program will be held in-person at our Atlanta headquarters, conveniently located near Windy Hill and I-75. The program runs from June 1, 2025 to August 7, 2025. As a Software Engineering intern, you will help solve complex business problems by leveraging technology and building scalable software platforms. Interns can express their preferences for areas of interest and are assigned to teams based on prior experience and interviews. Commerce Core Areas: Software Engineering: Design and build large-scale software solutions using modern technologies to drive business value. Knowledge of front-end and back-end development, as well as exposure to AI, is essential. Data/AI & ML : Develop AI-driven solutions to solve business challenges by performing data preprocessing, model development, and automation to enhance processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI tools and optimize results. Strong understanding of machine learning models, proficiency in Python or Java, and solid ML fundamentals are required. Motivated to learn and apply AI to real-world problems. Payments Core Areas: Working across teams, review payment transaction data to determine fraud and abuse models. Must be comfortable forming relationships with business partners, banking partners, and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and obtain data sources. Utilize AI and data-science to create tooling to flag at-risk transactions. Utilize transaction registers from POS, banks, and internal systems to facilitate a technology driven reconciliation process. Identify tends and anomalies to create alerts and reports. Generate dashboards for data and analysis Experience in the following tools will be helpful: Java/Open JDK (Installed/Managed via Home Brew) Python (Installed/Managed via Homebrew. Needs to include Pyenv/Pip3) NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensor flow. Google Cloud SDK, GCS, BQ, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes, Vertex AI, DataProc, DataFlow.
