Job Summary

North Anna Nuclear Station in Mineral, VA is looking for an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering intern to work in its Rapid Response Design Engineering department the summer of 2025. Job duties will include:

Development of technical documents to evaluate equipment failures and other plant conditions, Evaluation of equipment performance trends including field walkdowns, Development of minor design changes to support station reliability improvements. Support development of major design changes to support long-term station reliability improvements, Support station departments with technical input on a variety of equipment-related concerns

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.
  • Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.
  • An inquisitive nature, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, and strong professional ethics.

Education Requirements

  • Must be a student studying Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at an ABET accredited 4-year college or university
  • Must have a graduation date of Spring or Fall 2028
  • Must have a GPA of at least 3.0
