Job Description

Manufacturing Engineering Technician Location: Near Elgin, IL Salary: $55,000–$58,000 We are partnering with a client that specializes in the manufacturing of products supporting HVAC and flow control applications. Due to continued growth and increased production demand, they are adding a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to their team as a new headcount. This role supports day-to-day manufacturing operations and works closely with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot CNC processes, improve manufacturing flow, and enhance overall process efficiency and product quality. About The Company: Established, financially stable manufacturer with a long history of success in airflow, HVAC, and industrial applications Mid-sized, team-oriented environment where individual contributions are visible and valued—not a large corporate bureaucracy Hands-on role with exposure to a wide range of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment Strong cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, tooling, and production teams Real opportunity to make an impact through process improvements, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and analyze manufacturing problems and implement corrective actions to support high-quality, efficient production. Support workflow analysis, work methods, and plant/department layouts to improve product flow in production. Assist production and new product development teams with troubleshooting CNC machine programming. Help identify required tools, jigs, fixtures, and special equipment for new production or improvements to existing production lines. Support the installation and debugging of production equipment. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance product quality, throughput, and profitability. Create, update, and maintain visual and written work instructions. Update and maintain manufacturing routings and process documentation. Assist in developing manufacturing infrastructure to support the integration or deployment of new manufacturing processes. Perform time studies and monitor manufacturing processes to reduce waste, cycle time, and quality losses. Utilize ERP systems to retrieve, update, and maintain production and manufacturing data. Perform other manufacturing engineering support tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field. Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience around general manufacturing equipment. 3+ years of CNC programming and operating experience. Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
