Using predictive analytics and advanced machine learning trained on billions of signals to power RiskOS™, Socure has created the most accurate identity verification and fraud prevention platform in the world. Trusted by thousands of leading organizations—from top banks and fintechs to government agencies—we solve real, high-impact problems at scale. Come join us! Overview Socure is the leader in digital identity verification and fraud prevention. We’re hiring a Head of Product Engineering to lead the teams building and scaling the company’s flagship products—the portfolio that powers more than 90% of Socure’s revenue and growth. These include: First‑party fraud detection (machine‑learning models to minimize intentional customer abuse), Account intelligence (bank account ownership and status verification), Global watchlist screening with monitoring (sanctions, politically exposed persons, and adverse media), Consumer identity verification for compliance (Know Your Customer), Predictive document verification (AI-driven document and selfie verification), Digital intelligence (device, network, and behavioral risk), Prefill (progressive onboarding using limited inputs to autofill verified data), and Comprehensive fraud analytics (identity and synthetic fraud models). You’ll shape strategy and execution across this portfolio while elevating quality, reliability, and speed at global scale. You’ll harness Socure’s RiskOS platform to orchestrate signals and decisions across first‑party, third‑party, and partner data—backed by a robust integration ecosystem already in place. A core pillar of the vision is to build products that are natively integrated into the RiskOS orchestration engine—so every capability ships with turnkey workflows, explainability, and partner connectivity by default. You will also lead an Identity Graph–first rebuild of every product to standardize entity resolution and accelerate feature velocity. This is a rare opportunity to lead the engineering engine behind a category leader’s core franchise and set a new bar for AI‑native product excellence—from algorithmic performance and fairness to enterprise‑grade uptime and trust. Details on some of the product pillars you’ll own Digital intelligence (device, network, and behavioral risk): Engineer a low‑latency, privacy‑preserving telemetry stack that assesses device and session integrity, IP reputation and geolocation, velocity patterns, and behavioral anomalies to flag risky events pre‑emptively across login, onboarding, and high‑risk changes. Email, phone, and address risk models: Advance our risk scoring models that evaluate hundreds of attributes—such as email deliverability and age, domain type, phone line type and tenure/porting history, and address deliverability and occupancy tenure—to predict trust and correlate ownership to an identity. Identity Graph–first rebuild: Migrate and refactor products to sit natively on Socure’s identity graph, unifying billions of signals and feedback outcomes to drive stronger accuracy, coverage, and explainability—while enabling sub‑second decisions at enterprise scale. RiskOS‑native orchestration: Deliver every capability as a reusable RiskOS component with pre‑built strategies, no‑code controls, and standardized write‑backs—so customers and partners can plug in, configure, and launch quickly across use cases. Why this role is exceptional Own the product engineering strategy for the company’s highest‑impact offerings—the suite that drives the overwhelming majority of Socure’s revenue—while charting the next wave of innovation and platform leverage. Lead a talented organization of product engineers, tech leads, and managers across multiple product lines—building durable systems that ship fast, learn continuously, and scale globally. Build on significant platform leverage: a unified orchestration and decisioning layer and 65+ pre‑integrations that open one‑to‑many routes to market and faster time‑to‑value. Push the state of the art in AI for identity: multi‑signal fusion (document, device, network, and graph), modern MLOps, and rigorous model governance that balances accuracy, inclusivity, and fairness at enterprise scale. Architect for world‑class performance: rebuild products on the identity graph to run hundreds of thousands of transactions per second with low double‑digit millisecond latencies, while maintaining strict SLAs and cost efficiency. What you’ll do Set the multi‑year product engineering strategy and roadmap across identity verification, fraud, watchlist/compliance, document verification, digital intelligence, and progressive onboarding—aligning platform investments to measurable customer and revenue outcomes. Lead and scale high‑performing teams that deliver enterprise‑grade SLAs, reliability, and security while accelerating release velocity and quality across services and SDKs. Make RiskOS‑native integration the default: unify internal models and third‑party signals, standardize explainability, and ensure seamless integration and write‑back into customer systems and partner platforms. Advance ML systems excellence: model performance, observability, A/B testing, drift detection, fairness evaluations, and auditability—working in close partnership with Data Science and Risk/Compliance. Codify an Identity Graph–first architecture across all products to improve entity resolution, cross‑signal correlation, and outcome feedback loops. Own the operating system of product engineering: principles, processes, hiring and talent density, career ladders, and a culture of craftsmanship, ownership, and speed. Partner with Product, Design, Security, Sales, and Customer Success to prioritize the roadmap, harden the customer experience, and land high‑visibility launches with measurable ROI. Institutionalize best‑in‑class incident response, post‑mortems, and dependency management to protect availability during high‑volume events and seasonal spikes. Build and govern the integration/partner ecosystem (data providers, marketplaces, authentication providers) to expand coverage, accuracy, and use‑case depth. What you’ll bring Track record leading product engineering for high‑scale, mission‑critical SaaS platforms—owning strategy, delivery, and operations across multiple product lines. Mastery of distributed systems, data‑intensive services, and API‑first architecture; deep experience with eventing, webhooks, idempotency, and secure write‑backs into external platforms. Experience bringing AI‑powered products to market: partnering with Data Science on model lifecycle, instrumentation, measurement, and continuous improvement. Relentless focus on availability, performance, and cost efficiency; proven ability to manage trade‑offs between speed and rigor in complex, high‑stakes environments.
